Fourteen
It was just an hour before midnight when Ethan, Declan, Darrel, MJ, Jag, and I left our home base warehouse and silently zoomed to complete our boost. I was going to do the boosting—’cause I’m the best—while the guys drove the cars back and kept watch on my back. I was still pumped with adrenaline coursing through me. It was awesome.
First up was the Porsche Boxster Spyder 2010, a very nice and fast car; MJ was the lucky man that was going to drive this car, but he wasn’t as lucky as me, who would be driving the unbelievable Mercedes Guardian. That’s right, be jealous.
We parked across the street from the cheery red sports car, and I slipped out and to it so I could set to work. Less than fifty seconds later, I had the engine purring as I took off with it and Declan following me in my car. Once parked in a secure spot, I passed it off to MJ, who was ready to drive fast. Next was the neon orange Porsche Cayman 2009, which was driven away by Darrel. Then the sleek silver Alfa Romeo 159 driven back by Jag. Ethan, Declan, and I were left for him to take my car back while I take the silver and too amazing Guardian.
It was in a secured parking lot, but thanks to my amazing godlike skills, I could get it easily. First, I cut off all cameras and a few lights. Next, I found the car and finally began my work. It took longer since this car was purposively missile-proof; yeah, too weird. I got in and hot wired the car, and then texted Declan to go ahead; I was going to take a small spin with this car.
I was ready and pumped; I pressed my foot to the gas…and zoom I was off like a race car. It turned like a beauty and drifted easily. I was just too tempted to take the car for myself, but I knew that that would not be the wisest idea in the world.
I was getting my way back to the warehouse when I almost panicked; police sirens sounded behind me and a monotone voice ordered, “Pull your vehicle over.”
I stayed calm because I knew if I tried to outrun him, he would know I stole it. I pulled the car down an alley that lead to an open area behind some old inn. I rolled the window for the officer to see in and asked innocently, “Yes, officer? Can I help you?”
“License and registration, miss,” the officer demanded of me. I reached over to the glove box, hoping it would be there, but I only heard the click of a gun by my head. I turned to see the barrel of a gun raised at my temple. The ‘officer’ gruffly ordered, “Out of the car, girly.”
I clenched my hands to fist, but I knew better; I got out the car with him constantly holding the barrel of his pistol to me. I glowered at him icily. “Let me guess: deep rival of my boss, right?”
“Right and I need some sweet, sweet revenge,” he informed me, and I couldn’t help but shudder a bit at his words. He smirked evilly at this and removed his helmet and shades. My breath was held as I glared at him with disgust. It was no other than that pig Sean. Yalow He smirked more and winked. “Hello beautiful. Ready for some fun?”
I couldn’t speak, my words were caught in my mouth in shock, and he didn’t care to hear. He gripped my arm and escorted me into the old, abandoned inn, holding the pistol straight at my head. There was an open room with a mirror walls, though some stone. I would’ve thought it beautiful and grand if my company and reason being here wasn’t so unwillingly.
There were a couple fallen but firmly stuck wooden supports, and Sean used that to handcuff my wrist a little too firmly. With his smirk in place, baton and big knife in hand, and cell phone on a desk, Sean walked to me with the most bone chilling, malicious and cruel smirk as he strode to my slightly shuddering, petrified body.
I think karma is finally catching up to me.
Declan pov:
Ethan and I were waiting for Jay to finally come up. It had already been half an hour since I got her text, and I knew Jay wouldn’t take this long to just drive a fast car. Ethan glanced at me in that kinda pissed way, and I nodded as I was about to dial Jay’s number when Ethan’s phone, which he had had me carry around, rang. I answered, “Hello?”
