Why is life so cruel? I'm a single mum to my daughter Lucy and I am pregnant with my second child. My boyfriend left me when I found out he cheated on me so I am all alone. Luckily he left me the house and all the money. I'm taking a walk with my daughter to the the shops. The neighbourhood has been very quiet lately ever since Sirius Black was send to Azkaban. Remus Lupin, my next door neighbour, has been very down lately ever since his friends were killed.
"Come on Lucy. Time to go home. Lucy?" I ask worried when I don't spot my daughter. "Lucy?!" I panic. "I'm here mama!" I hear her call. I turn to see her stood with Remus Lupin. "Lucy! Thank god! Please don't wonder off like that mama was scared." I beg placing a hand on my stomach.
"But mama! I was talking to Mr Lupin! I asked where snuffles was!" She grins. "Oh Lucy, um let's leave Mr Lupin alone, I'm sure Mr Lupin had better things to do than to talk to us." I say shyly. "No no it's fine... I was just telling Lucy that snuffles has to go away for a while..." Remus sighs.
"Oh well would you like to come to our house for a hot coco?" I ask with a warm smile. "I don't want to be a burden..." He sighs. "Remus, you're not a burden." I smile. He nods and grins. "Lets go then." I grin.
We start walking back to my house but I start feeling a bit light headed. I stumble a bit and lean on a wall. "Y/n!" Remus panics and rushes over to me. "I'm fine. Just a bit light headed." I tell him. "When I move to fast it does that." I chuckle and get back up.
I'm hoping I can cheer Remus up and hopefully build a relationship with him.
