Dessert

"You know, there is one more thing I want to do before we leave."

"And what would that be?"

"I want to finally ride a ferris wheel at sunset. It will be the best view for it and a great way to end our trip. Maybe we'll even see the green flash."

"Okay, then let's get dinner early before we go up on it."

"Good idea."

You both went to this place called the "Shell Shack" for dinner. Enjoying a nice seafood dinner, you finished your food just before sunset. Your leg bounced as you waited for your bill, not wanting to miss the opportunity to finally see sunset from the wheel. And once you and Hitoshi had paid, you quickly grabbed his hand and led him to the line for it.

"I don't want to miss it! My phone says there is only 5 minutes till the sun goes down."

"Okay, okay. Calm down, we'll make it." He chuckled, he didn't quite understand what this meant to you.

You waited in line for a shorter amount of time than expected. There weren't that many people which was surprising too. And when you got to the front, the worker gave you the option for them to stop you at the top since there weren't many others. Also because you were visibly bouncing in place with excitement.

"That would be great. Thank you."

When you neared the top, the sun was halfway past the horizon, quickly descending into its next day. And once you hit the peak, your cart stopped.

"We finally did it. Mission complete." You smiled at Hitoshi who was sitting next to you before turning towards the sun.

"We did...can I ask you something?" You didn't turn, just hummed for him to continue. "Is this the first time you've been on a Ferris wheel at sunset?"

"Yeah, it is. And the last time we were together at the festival was my first time ever on one." A smile took to your face. "I'd always wanted to ride one, and now that I have, they are easily my favorite carnival ride. Plus it ties to my memories of afterwards too."

You glanced away from the water line just for a moment to see him think. You knew he wouldn't get what you were saying at first, at least for a second. Until his eyes widened and you knew he put two and two together.

"Oh...oh right. That was our first time-"

"Yep. It was." There was silence for a bit after that, only between the two of you. The cart kept moving again and you watched the sliver of sun that was left fall below the ocean. Surrounding chatter and the small grinding of gears filled the air around you.

Then you felt a hand on your knee. The neon lights of the ride turning on at almost the same time.

"Love, let's go home." There was no longer any sun in sight, only lingering light. No green flash appeared, but maybe it was really just an old wise tale. So you turned to Hitoshi, he ran his thumb over your skin on your lower thigh.

"Okay." You leaned in and left a teasing kiss on the corner of his mouth. While you were lingering over him after it, his face tried to move in again. You simply moved back to your spot and left a hand on his inner thigh. Rubbing circles like he had been doing earlier, moving slowly up his leg.

"Fuck, love if you don't behave I might not be able to control myself once we get home." He adjusted himself accordingly and looked at you with serious eyes.

"I want you Hitoshi...I want you." You lifted your hand from his leg and let off the teasing gestures. Leaving your words to linger even more.

It was only one or two minutes later that you were getting somewhat pulled out of the carriage. Off to the house which only took a few more minutes to get to after that. He was desperate, he wanted the same thing you did.
