9: Training

John POV:

After we got back to base, I went straight to my dorm and went to sleep. I couldn't see if anyone was trying to engage in conversation with me.

NEXT DAY

I got up from my bed and walked to the bathroom. I took a shower, got dressed, brushed my teeth, and then got out of my dorm. I walked to the Mess Hall and grabbed some food and sat down.

About 10 minutes after i sat down, I heard Harry call me over the intercoms.

Harry: "Can operator Viper come to the office please. Viper to my office."

I walked to Harry's office and knocked

Harry: "Come in."

I walked into Harry's office and saw him sitting by his desk

Harry: "Take a seat" he said as he gestured me to one.

"So what did you call me in here for?"

Harry: "For the next 3 days you will be doing an evaluation in Hand-To-Hand combat, A simulation, Psychological Evaluation, shooting range, and a gadget report. The reason you didn't do these things yesterday was since I wasn't here to watch you." I nodded in understanding.

"Anything else?"

Harry: "There is a cqc training area, an outside running course, gym, a lounge, an R&D lab, a shooting range, and thats it."

"Got it. Are we starting with the psychological evaluation?"

Harry: "I've almost got it all finished up, so first you'll do the hand-to-hand combat evaluation." He says as he gets up

I get up while he walks to the door and opens it. I let him walk out first. As I look around I see someone take a glance at me.

Julein (Rook) POV:

I punched the punching bag and looked at someone who was with Harry, a new operator I thought.

"Who's he?" I asked Ela

Elzabita: "A new recruit. He actually saved Tina and Nienke from a sniper, and helped stopping a White Mask attack yesterday, it was his first day here."

"How?"

Elzabita: "I don't know, Chyba czyste szczęście." (Pure luck, I guess.)

"Hmm. Weird."

Elzabita: "Zofia's gonna be sparring with him... He hurts her, i'm gonna beat him up."

"Calm down, Ela."

Elzabita: "No promises"

Ela walks away and I stop punching the bag. Why did the attack happen on that day?

John's POV:

I walked to the octagon near to a boxing ring and began thinking of different ways to beat my opponent. Submission if possible? So many ways...

Harry: "You'll be fighting Zofia here. She is ranked 1st in hand-to-hand combat, and Maxim is second."

I nodded and then walked into the right octagon corner. Zofia walked into the other corner.

"Need me to go easy?"

Zofia: "If you don't want to die."

"I'll take my chances." I got into a fighting pose, much similar to Conor McGregor. I started pushing back Zofia, as to try and get her against the wall of the octagon.
