I had reached the safehouse in under two hours, and I frantically entered it. I grabbed out my glasses and flipped them on, calling for TPIR and Church.

"Guys?"

T: "Hello sir."

Church: "Hey we've got a bit of a fucken problem man!"

"Jesus, calm the fuck down."

Church: "I'm defending a hack dumbass! You want me to calm the fuck down?"

"Alright, keep them held back for just a few."

Church: "Fucking do something!"

"Yeah, I'm shutting down the servers and destroying the suit."

T: "Sir?"

Church: "WHAT?!"

"I have spares. Outdated, but they'll do." Church sighed as he redirected his attention back to the hack, and T started assisting.

T: "We're losing power, sir. We might go offline soon."

"I understand," I said as I opened the gate and entered. I searched around for my servers, finding them hidden behind a fake wall. My hands flipped the switches, killing the power for the system and hopefully initiating the destruction. My fist met the wall as I closed my eyes, lying in a chair I had sitting nearby. "Crap..." I muttered to myself. The suit was gone at this point, I had to do so much for that one. At least I kept up on my backups. But still, that was almost a full year of coding. I stood up, remembering my mission, and grabbed my old prototype, the Mark-4 cloak. I tested it for a minute, making sure it didn't have any flukes in the code. Ready, I left the safehouse and met the soldiers outside.

"Oi! Let's get going!" I ordered as the infantry made their way to the Humvee, and we drove off, making our way to the FOB.

Timeskip brought to you my Raid: Shadow Legends and my procrastination.

The Hummer stopped at a checkpoint and I sat in the back, waiting for the checkpoint to let us through.

Driver: "Yeah, we just picked up this-" His voice was cut off as bullets came flying toward the Humvee, almost hitting the driver and the MP. Our Hummer immediately began firing back, trying to figure out where the hell we were taking shots from.

RAA: "Crap! Ramirez is hit! Medic!" The voice was drowned out by the bullets whizzing past my ears, but I could still make out the cry for a medic. I moved back to the downed soldier, utilizing the Humvee as cover.

"I got him, go help!" I ordered the soldier who was crouching near him. "Hey, kid, speak to me."

RAA: "I think I'm gonna reenlist."

"Shit, MEDIC!" The kid was losing it, and I tried my hardest to stifle the bleeding. The sound of F89A1 Minimi was almost making me smile through the shit situation we were in. "Embrace the shit," I muttered as the medic took the kid off my hands. I went back to provide support for the infantry, reminding me of my days as them. I shook off the reminiscing feeling as I pot-shot Masks who were just about half a mile away. The firing died down from the White mask side as all of us were confused about what was going on until a man holding what seemed to be a large stick on his shoulder aimed it toward us.

RAA: "RP-" The Humvee I was utilizing as cover blasted me and some other wankers back, but I got off much luckier than them. I continued firing back, taking out the rocket mask as the Masks began to appear one by one. There were too many for me and the few others who hadn't been shot or blasted by the Humvee violently enough, and we needed a goddam miracle to save us from being overtaken.

"The Minimi," I said to myself as I ran towards the MG and began spraying covering fire on the foothill. It was just enough to hold them back until friendly reinforcements came to save our asses. The fighting ensued for about fifteen minutes until the gunfire was silenced. I got up from the Minimi and instantly started to assist the wounded. Once all the injured were transported to safety, I walked to the base, searching for Mozzie, Gridlock, and my brother.

"Hey-hey-hey!" I heard the familiar voice of my brother from behind me

I'm sorry.

I've been trying to create this chapter ever since I published the last one, but I feel like I'm driving myself up a wall here. Anyway, I might come back to revisit this chapter and finish it, but I just can't. My idea from the last sentence is that the Bryne's, Mozzie, and Gridlock all get sent on a mission and the next chapter starts from there.

I want you readers to know I want to finish the chapter, but my brain just is not complying. I'm sorry.
