21: Whats the "I" Stand for?

John PoV:

I sit at my desk, working on a new A.I. I was making. I looked towards the time to see that it's 12:15 PM, but I can't fucking sleep. I decide to just stare at my camera while I work. I start closing my eyes until something appears in the corner of the camera. I lean forward towards the overlay.

"T."

T: "Yes?"

" focus on that person. "

T: "Got it." I put on my helmet, grab my M1911, and walk out of my dorm. I sneak around the corner and T gives me directions.

T: "Turn left." I walk to my left and see someone turn the corner. I speed up slightly and get to the wall. I peek out and see the person knock on a door. I move forward and I hold my hand next to my holster. The door opens as light cracks out of the door.

"T, can you identify that person?" I whisper.

T: "It seems to be the fellow operator Ying. Siu Meh Lin."

"What is she doing?"

T: "Her body language indicates sexual arousal."

'the fuck?' She walks into the dorm, and I silently run towards the door. I read the nameplate. It reads Shuhrat "Fuze" Kessikbayev.

"Oh... fuck. Huh." I slowly sneak away from the dorm. And go back into my dorm.

"I need to bleach my eyes."

T: "That is not a good idea."

"I was being sarcastic T. Let's sleep now, yes?"

T: "I am low on power so I recommend we sleep so I recharge."

"Alright then, goodnight T."

T: "Goodnight John." The overlay shuts down as I take my helmet off. I place it on the table and go to my bedroom. I lay down and close my eyes, drifting off into sleep.

Timeskip to day

I get up from my bed and check the time. 4:25 AM. I shower and get dressed, and I grab my helmet off the table.

"T, run the tests."

T: "Running."

I walk over towards the mess hall, grab some eggs and bacon, scarf it down, and then walk over towards the vaults. I get to mine and put in my code. The vault beeps in response. I walk in and close my vault door. I put my vault down on a small bench.

"T, can you get some music going?"

T: "Sure. Now playing: Papercut, by Linkin Park." the music starts and I put on my outfit. I grab my 9mm CI and I strap it on my back. I grab my M1911 and holster it, and I grab some magazines. I put them in my pouches along with a red bull in one. Finally, I put on my helmet and set the music to play at a low volume. I walk out and go up to to the top of the building, and check the time. 5 on the dot, perfection. I open the door and see a helicopter just sitting there, waiting. In the helicopter is Ash, Kapkan, Frost, and Lion. I sit down on the seat next to Frost as the stair door opens, with twitch coming up the stairs. She sits over by Kapkan.

"Hey T, wanna introduce our new A.I. To everyone?"

T: "Running program now." I turn on my overlay. An A.I. Forms on top of it.

A.I: "Where am I?"

" Hey little guy. Anyone wanna say hi? "

Kapkan: "Hello mini Comrade."

Frost: "Aww..."

Lion: "Hello Mr. A.I."

Twitch: "What an interesting piece of technology."

Ash: "That's cool."

A.I: "hello, what is my name?"

" Epsilon. "

Epsilon: "I find this name interesting. If I may inquire, did you name me after Church from red vs blue?"

" That I did Epsilon. "

Epsilon: "If I have permission, may I analyze the red vs blue episodes in order to sound and act like church?"

" if you want, Epsilon. "

Epsilon: "Understood." He disappears from the overlay.

Kapkan: " Comrade, you make A.I., what will it do? "

"It'll help run my armor, and also just someone I can talk to. I like it when they have personality, makes 'em like a person."

Frost: "Hmm. An a.i... Wonder what the I stands for."

Everyone, including me: "Intelligence"

Frost: "I know what the fucking I stands for!"

Lion: "Then why did you ask?"

Frost: "Because..." She groans

Lion: "There you go." Jäger looks back at us from the cockpit

Jäger: "You all ready to go?"

Everyone nods yes.

Jäger goes back into his seat and starts up the helicopter.

Jäger: "Hello, and welcome to Jäger airlines. This aircraft is heading over to Lenigrad, Russia, and we should be there in about 19 hours. We hope you enjoy your flight."

I lay down into my seat as a literal hologram of Church comes out of my helmet.

Epsilon/Church: "Hey what's up?"

" Hey Church. "

Epsilon/Church: "Hey dude so uh? What's going on? You guys got big alien A.I or some shit? Are we gonna knock on their door?"

"Church, we about to beat the shit out of some dickheads."

Church: "Let's do this then."
