I pull my car into the parking space and put it in park. I sit still for a few seconds before looking out the window to see a large base. I stick my hand into my shirt and pull out a necklace with a cross. I grab my helmet from the passenger's seat and put it on. I open my spotify and start playing Layers, by NF.

"Hey, Church. " They popped up on my overlay and looked towards me.

Church: "Yeah what? I was in the middle of watching season fifteen" 

 "A-... Am I making a good choice?" I stammered.

 Church: "Are you O'Malley? Are you Felix? Are you using people as pawns? Did you make an AI version of you and torture it by removing every aspect of it except for its existence?"

 "No." I responded. 

Church: "Then you're good. Unless these guys are planning another 9 11. That's bad."

 "Yep." Shutting down my overlay, I got out of my car and observed the base. I stared at the door before making my way to it. Near the door was a small scanner-resembling thing with the silhouette of a hand. I placed my hand against it and waited. No response from the door of scanner came.

???: "Oi, John!" a male voice behind me yelled. I turned slowly and saw James walking up to the door.

James: "Aye, I didn't know you were part of nighthaven? What's Kali offer you?" He questioned.

 "Better r&d, tech, everything a engineer would need." I answered. He placed his hand against the scanner and watched as it turned green. He gestured me to walk on in. I walked into the room and observed. Damn. 

James: "Place is beautiful, eh? Anyways, I've to be going. See you." He left and went upstairs, leaving me alone by myself. I roamed the building before finding there was a basement. I looked around, seeing prototypes of a sort of suit. I glanced quickly at them before moving into the next room. I saw some nighthaven techs standing over a small hologram of a base. I observed and saw the layout of the base.  There was a room with a yellow marker on it. I shook my head and scanned the room. 

???: "Hey new guy!" I recognized a voice from behind me.

 " Hey Ace. " I responded reluctantly.

Hävard: "Call me Hävard, man." I sighed before turning around. I noticed the techs had turned off the overlay, pretending as though nothing had happened. 

 " Hey, where's Kali at? " I questioned, looking for a way out of the conversation.

Hävard: "Oh, shes in her office." He responded.

 " Thanks. " I began walking upstairs and searching for her office. I walked to a door with a nameplate reading 'KALI JAMIANIMINI KALIMOHAN SHAH' I knocked on the door, being followed by Kali saying come in. I walked in the office and looked for a seat. I pointed at it and she nodded her head. I sat and she broke the silence.

Kali: "Hello Viper."

 "Kali." I greeted. She pulled out some manilla folders from her desk.

Kali: "I'm glad you could join us at Nighthaven, John.". She said as she rummaged through the folders. She finally found the folder she was searching for and laid it out on her desk. The cover read viper with my logo on it. She continued speaking while looking thorough my file.

 Kali: "Correct me if I'm wrong, but your gadget is a cloak?"

 " invisibility cloak. Full minute of use time, really useful for stealth. And then I've got my helmet" I said while knocking on it. "Which helps for quick target acquisition, sniping, distance from target. Built-in gas filter as well."
