John PoV:

I sit on one at one of the many tables available to me. Someone taps my shoulder. I look to my left and see Marius.

Marius: "Are you okay?"

"Yeah." I respond. He sits next to me.

Marius: "Listen, John. I... Don't completely know what you're going thorough, but it's definitely not fun."

"It isn't. That's definitely obvious."

Marius: "The GSG9 is getting drinks, want to join? We could all talk about it."

"Thanks for the offer Marius but i'm not that good with making conversation overall with people."

Marius: "Just come along fruend, it'll be good for you." It is just 4 people. I guess he's right. Should I?

"Marius, I don't... You know what? Fuck it, i'll come."

Marius: "Okay then. Follow me."

We arrive at the bar. We all rode with each other and Jager drove. I sat in the back with Blitz and Bandit. I just stared out the window at the neon lights we drove by.

Blitz taps me on the shoulder, indicating we're here. I step out of the car, wearing a shirt with a solider and a jacket.

"How do I look?" I ask Marius

Marius: "You look great, John."

"Thank you."

When we walk in, we all order beers and begin drinking. Elias sits to the right of me, Marius and Monika sit next to eachother, and Bandit sits left of me.

Marius: "So, I'm sure you've all met John."

Elias (Blitz): "I haven't. Name's Elias."

"John. And how are you guys today?"

Marius: "I'm good."

Monika: "Good."

Elias: "Normal."

Dominic (Bandit): "Weed is goo- I'm fine."

"Nice."

Elias: "How about you?"

"I'm... fine."

Elias: "Hey man, we all know what happened."

"He's dead because of me." I say before I drink some beer

Monika: "Who?" I look up from the ground suprised, and then recall she wasn't in the crowd. Neither Marius.

"You guys weren't eavesdropping like twats?"

Marius: "What do you mean?"

"I was having a talk with my brother, and I walked out to see a few operators, eavesdropping. Speaking of eavesdropping." I focus behind Marius, and see a white guy with a cleanshaved beard, staring at Marius and Monikas back. I chug my drink, impairing my vision fast and making me feel good.

"Hey twat! Quit looking at his girl!" I say without thinking. He gets up, and I see he's really tall, 6'0, maybe 6'1.

"Hey, Tall Girl spinoff-Pervert, fuck off and drink."

Tall Boy: "Do you think I care?"

"Eh, I think he cares." I point towards Marius

Tall Girl remastered walks up to me, obviously angered

???: "Beat him up! Beat him up!" He punches me, and I feel tremendous pain in my jaw.

"Bitch." I say while trying to recover. He runs into me and slams me into the wall. The wall breaks and an outline of my back can be seen.

Crowd: "YEAH!" He walks away from me. I get up thorough my pain, filled with anger and adrenaline. I walk over to the bartender, not shocked at all.

"Hey, could you play The Pretender- by Foo Fighters?" He nods to me.

Bartender: "That'll be 3.50." I hand him the money and he goes to the back.

"HEY FUCKO!" He looks back towards me and stops flexing to everyone

Tall Guy: "What?" He looks back towards me, obviously annoyed.

"FUCK YOU!" I say as I double-finger him.

He runs towards me and halfway thorough, Elias jumps in front of him.

Elias: "Hey, lets just settle this like men." He grabs Elias' and pushes him aside. I can't stop thinking about how much of a bitch he's being. Someone from the Tall guys table, with blue hair and a black shirt, gets up and grabs Elias by the shirt and slams him up against the wall. Marius and Dominic get up, and Marius tells Monika to stay at the table. They go to Elias and pushes the bluehair boy off.

Tall Boy: "You suck."

"Well, no one can possibly hope to compete with me when it comes to being hard on myself. So, if you're only here to judge me, please keep it to yourself and just shove it up your arse!" He walks up to me as Marius, Dom, and Elias get the bluehair to calm down. The tall guy grabs my neck and puts me up against the wall, as if I was a toy to him. I kick him in the nuts, causing him to drop me down.

"Holy shit mate, that hurt. How rock hard are your balls?" He pisses off, holding his nuts, probably in a lot of pain.

Marius walks up to me, now sitting on the ground

Marius: "You good?"

"Yeah, i'm good." I say, out of breathe and proud of all of us. Marius hands out his hand and I grab it and he pulls me up. We all walk back to the table, and sit down.

Monika grits her teeth while looking towards me and finally speaks "Your neck, John." I feel it and can feel small ridges, probably the outlines of the Tall guys fingers.

"Oh damn, thats a goddamn pringle neck." I say before smirking at my joke

Marius: "Well, I guess that was a good time."

"It was, but ain't over yet. You see, I told the bartender to play a song for me." I say as it comes on

Dom: "Foo Fighters?" He says, guessing the song.

"Yeah, they're my favorite band."

Dom: "Mine too!" He says as he hits my shoulder.

"Yeah, it's great. I'll be right back." I say as I get up. I walk to the bathroom and take a piss. Holy fuck. I've found people who I can talk to without stuttering, getting shy, fucking stuff up. Wow. I've found freinds. What about that girl who hugged you during that op? Tina, innit? I ask myself.

"Yeah, i'll have to talk to her as well. She might be nice." I walk back to the table, and drink the rest of my drink. When we finish, we all drive back to base. Same layout, except I talked to them this time. When we get to the door, I walk to my dorm line with Marius and Monika, who are also in my Dorm block.

"Alright, i'll see you man."

Marius: "See you- and John, about the whole son dying thing; just accept it. I'm not trying to be rude but this is what he'd want you to do."

"I know Marius. He'd want me to 'bounce back, be happy'. And, I will. In his honor."

Marius: "Alright then, Good night John." He says as he starts walking towards his dorm, 3 dorms away from me.

"Night, Marius." I say as I go into my room and clock out for the night.
