"Gahh!!!..." You sat up breaking in cold sweat waking up from a nightmare "hahhhh..." a heavy sigh as you layed back down covering your eyes with your arms. You can't continue this forever  "...my eyes feel watery" You sat up contemplating about your and morning then got off bed and took a shower then changed into your uniform. Tetsuo is already waiting for you in the dining room "another nightmare huh?" Your dead looking eyes gaze at him slowly widening as you sat besides him
"w-what? how did you know!" He sighted looking at you with pity
"I've known you for a long time...second of all I heard that scream and just look at your face" He took out a pocket mirror then showed you your exhaust looking expression "I look like a dead corpse....what's with the mirror? I didn't know you enjoy looking at your face a lot to the point of carrying a mirror around" you teased him for making fun of you changing the subject  "No I don't, this is for you...it's for today's little adventure" He handed you the mirror "this is no ordinary mirror it's a camera...let me explain how the mirror works...its a two faced mirror there is a button in the end of it if you press it once the mirror opens after that press twice and aim at where you want to take a picture and it will be saved inside, later you can transfer it to a computer" you clapped your hand in amusement nodding

"that's actually kinda cool thanks" He smiled brightly seeing you all happy and looking lighter  "since you like it can't I have a kiss right here for my hard work...you probably won't be coming back as my daughter again" Your mouth drops open as the mirror slips out of your hand falling onto the table. Is that what fathers usually want from their daughters? He acts so spoiled for a director of the fbi agency  "how shameless of you..." You quickly kissed him on the cheeks then ran outside towards the car leaving Tetsuo in complete shock "hahhh! Since I might die I won't be returning as his daughter maybe I should've spent time with him" you clenched your fist biting your lips with full embarrassment

From young age with unknown reasons. he's still not over it and haven't married anyone other than his deceased wife

"why would you die you're still young?" You jumped at the sudden comment and turned around feeling your heart leap out of your chest for a second "Huh...?! c-conan why are you here?" Just as you were about to get in you met Conan who's unusually coming over to walk you "I'm here to pick you up for school" he had his usual smirk plastered on his face as if he knew what you're on. You raised a brow crossing you "you know I have a chauffeur who takes me to school" Conan shrugged with a chill manner as if he knows your answer  "yes I do know but I thought you enjoyed walking to school rather then going by a vehicle...is it because of me?" you laughed informing your chauffeur that you're going to walk instead
"no, its just that I want to know the reason of you coming here "personally" to pick me up"

"Tch...you already know the reason right what kind of monster are you?" You smirked nudging his shoulders with slight annoyance answering him back, deadpan
"a monster with the same species as you"
You both walked side by side quietly for a few minutes enjoying the quietness just before you finally broke it  "what's on your mind?...Conan" he crossed his arms with a concerned expression "professor agasa developed a pill which makes you return to your true adult form" your eyebrows arched upwards as your lips slightly taped open in awe "so if you eat it you'll turn back?" He nodded speeding up the pace
"yah but why do you sound uninterested?" you looked away avoiding eye contact with a frown with and slight distress
"because it won't work on me" you stopped walking not uttering a word as if you're in deep thought

"what do you mean??!" He sounded so astound, why wouldn't it work on you and how are you so sure? Many questions ran through his mind but he could ask for some reason "at that time I didn't shrink from a pill like you did" you pursed your lips looking more of distressed as if you hate to speak about it
"wait! then how are you in a child's
body—" You jumped shushing him looking at your surrounding, your sharp cold gaze piercing boring into his as you held him firmly "...someone's watching us" you whispered under your breath but loud enough for him to hear as you scanned the surrounding
"she also felt that?. you're probably overthinking from this tense air" Conan brushed it off to calm you down knowing damn well you won't "he's lying!! Your probably right I'm too tired to think anymore" you pulled out your handkerchief blowing your nose

"oh right!! What was that about you dying?" You stopped then looked at him your eyes glistened with sadness for a moment just from the thought of it
"he heard me!? nothing just a nightmare
Anyways how is haibara doing?" you avoided his gaze not wanting to speak about the topic "she's...doing well why are you asking?" You shrugged sheepishly chuckling "well she seemed scared of me...By the way you ask a lot of questions you know that right?" you squinted your eyes raising a brow in suspicion. He's a detective so he must be used to it but you dislike nosy people "sorry you're quite hard to understand sometimes " He chuckled while scratching his head then bumped to someone before he could react
"ahh! Sorry are you alright" You helped Conan up then both of you looked at the women surprised

"oh cool kid!~. I see you got a cute girlfriend" It was jodie what a great surprise you thought, you kept on avoiding her gaze not wanting to look into her eyes since she might recognize your face "It's good to see her so energetic but can't she shut her mouth sometimes" an irritated smile spread across your cheeks holding in your intrusive thoughts
"y/n is not my girlfriend, Jodie sensei. she is a close friend of mine" She stared at you for a good few seconds. You knew exactly why she was making you nervously purse your lips "gosh! you look exactly like someone I know but as a kid do you have an older sister? have I seen you before?! you even have the same name as her such a coincidence!" she fawned over you amazed by how coincidentally suspicious it was  "shit I need to get away from her. I don't have any relatives it's just me and my father" you hid behind Conan acting wary from her actions pealing over his shoulders

"then may I ask what's your fathers name y/n?" You squeezed your grip on his shoulders not willing to speak up alerting him "and why would you think that I would tell a complete stranger my father's name?" Jodie raised her hands for a greeting as you ignored it with an attitude
"but I know this kid so I'm no stranger" you walked away completely ignoring both of them  "I don't know you so I'll be going now. see you later Conan don't get close to nosy people you know curiosity kills the cat" You rushed to school as they both stared at you flabbergasted. Suddenly Jodie bursted out laughing unable to hold back "oh my god! she even talks like her so cute! just who is she?"

"her name is y/n okuda she is a the new transfer student in my school" colours drained off her face as her eye twitched, her mouth dropped as she blankly stared into the air "d-did you just say okuda?!" Her jaw dropped unable to straighten her thoughts "yah what about it??" Conan has no idea what you are or who your father is
"I should give boss a call when I'm done with my work. Oh nothing just go to school or you'll be late"

Meanwhile you were rushing to school out of breath with your thoughts racing"oi!
Y/n over here we're waiting for you" genta called out for you ask you as you walked closer to them "I need to give father a call to tell him about Jodie! I'm coming let me go to the restroom first" you turned away rushing to the restroom "did you not go to the toilet before coming to school how silly of you" ayumi giggled You ran to the toilet and entered the furthest stall from the door "hey dad,  I just bumped to Jodie on the way and she recognized me Conan probably told her my last name she might call you later" you were in a hurry alerting Tetsuo because you both know the consequences of what will happen if others find out
"oh ok I got it you don't have to worry about it I'll just give a random excuse so tell that sneaky boy to keep his lips sealed or else" you chuckled tapping your fingers on your phone   "Are you threatening a preschooler throughout me?" He bursted laughing as you moved the phone away saving your poor eardrums
"Hahaha!...technically speaking he's not a preschooler" you gave a half shrug not denying what he said  "Alright, I gotta go or I'll miss the first session"
