"h-how did you recognize me?!" you tightly held the wound on your arms as you breathed out in relief leaning back on the car seat. You knew your father wasn't the one who sent him so shuichi must've came on his own, which also means he recognizes you "why did you go to such a dangerous place?" You avoided his eyes in guilt but brushed it off  "... let me rest a bit I'm tired and you're talking nonsense. I'm just stopping by my parents house nothing wrong with it?" he glanced at you then back at the road "...what peculiar parents you have right there" it didn't take long until You lost consciousness midway to the hospital then woke up in a hospital bed. akai was already gone And left a message on your phone "ughh my head hurts!... actually everything hurts I gotta call for the nurse" You tried to sit up then heard footsteps outside your room whilst pressing the button "Tetsuo? he should be getting the news by now" The door opened to reveal a figure

"What!! who...are you, mister? " you tried controlling your emotions calmly pretending not to know him "w-what my daughter?! you don't remember me! how could forget your own father" you hid under the covers peaking since he's gonna act like a little bitch you might as well do too "hah playing the poor father now. I clearly remember my father you aren't him" You glanced at the nurse and she immediately understood "I should call for a doctor for a check up since your awake...I'll leave you two to converse freely" The nurse got anxious and hurried to get a doctor "my daughter how did you get hurt I'm so worried. here I bought you some congee" you frowned groaning in annoyance  "I'm not hungry right now... and I want to get discharged as soon as possible so go call for a doctor and fOR GOD SAKE STOP CALLING ME YOUR DAUGHTER !!" Your body started heating up as you clenched the sheets holding back your anger. He sighted taking a step closer "be patient the nurse went to get one"

"Why can't I get a minute to rest!. what do you want from me asshole?" He slowly approached you then bent near your ear to whisper "just hand over the damn ring and it'll be over" you turned facing away completely ignoring his request. You'd rather die than give him the ring  "mom gave it to me in her deathbed and I'm not willing to hand it over to some stranger. the curse passed onto me so I'm the rightful owner of the ring! I'm the actual shinju! I'm the pure blooded! not you a mere prosperity vessel who married my mum and the actual audacity to murder a shinju...bold of you" He gritted his teeth extending both arm reaching for your neck until the door slid open making him quickly move away "this way Mr.Okuda" There entered the doctor and the nurse with Tetsuo and an inspector
"father I missed you so much" You started acting like a child reaching your arms out to Tetsuo  "Y/n! are you hurt I was worried...who is this man—" You hugged him burying your face into his torso while acting scared  "dad this old man is trying to take me away! I'm scared" You hid between his arms while they all looked at masaki waiting for an explanation  "she dares to call me old man!! but I have legal papers and everything you need to prove that she is my daughter" Tetsuo looked at the finger prints on your neck and frowned  "the audacity to claim such thing when she feels uncomfortable with you around"

"you—!!" They both glared at each other about to fight but the inspector stepped in "now-now stop fighting Mr. shinju I need everyone to get out while I ask miss y/n some questions" They all left then the inspector looked at you in seriousness
"little child may you tell me what happened and how you ended in this state" he notice the marks on your necks in astonishment "yes mr.police I was playing soccer with my friend then he accidentally kicked it too hard and we thought it landed in that old mans backyard, we rang the bell but no one answered so we found a small hole we can fit through and started searching then this scary man started attacking me saying he is my father after that I fainted and ended up here" you left out the part where shuichi appeared since you didn't want him to get associated with your family matters "do you remember who was it and how you got shot in the arm"

"He's making me do the dirty work a thing now? . I don't remember but the old man was holding a gun and shot my arm it was scary I don't want to see that man" You looked down while sniffing and fake crying he patted your head and smiled at you "such a poor little girl to experience such thing at a young age...that man he probably the reason for those marks too. don't worry he won't ever come to you" you lifted your chin up looking at him with a bright smile "Really? thank you mr.police can I see my dad! I miss him" he ruffled your hair laughing
"sure you can! I'm done anyways goodbye little girl get well soon" You smiled at how kind the inspector was "y/n good to know your alright I didn't know that asshole was still after you" You both stopped when you heard masaki causing a fuss
"what do you mean you're taking me away I want to see my daughter this is unacceptable" police held him down since he's fighting them back  "sir you need to calm down and cooperate with us" Two police men cuffed him while he stared at you intensely "I'll get you later b*tch" the inspector stood in the way blocking masaki "what did you say" He shifted his head claiming he didn't speak a word. The doctor sighted stepping in whisky shaking his head "hahh!!...Miss your fine just rest for a few days until your wounds are healed then you can be discharged"

"by the way a boy stepped into our house clamming that you're in trouble and handed out the ring and the book with the mirror" you brightened up nodding Conan succeeded
"ahh~yes Conan reached to you as expected. good thing he is safe I trust him anyways So no need to be worried" Tetsuo  didn't know someone was with you "Conan...?. now the good thing is that your alive we will celebrate once your discharged" your expression suddenly grimed as you bit your lips shaking
" you know...I wouldn't have survived if he was an actual shinju...our genes our strong, silver hair, golden eyes...they're just part of the curse" the room filled with silence before you could lift your head up Tetsuo gave you a hug "I messed up...s-see father I told you not to worry about a thing I promised to come back alive and I did"

"well you barely survived after knowing someone saved you" You looked at him tired as hell "...didn't expect him to tell you so soon. Anyways I'm tired dad but I don't feel comfortable sleeping alone can you get my pretty nanny to sleep here until I'm discharged?" He warmly smiled caressing your head "don't you want your father to sleep next to you?" He pouted at you while dialing the butler to inform him about your caretaker " father... your a grown man but sometimes you act like a child" A while later Tetsuo left as soon as your nanny arrived you were already asleep and the next day the kids visited
"it's good to see you in a good mood y/n" Ayumi looked at you while tears accumulated in her eyes Because of all the bandages on your body You patted her head while smiling "Rather than interfering he let me do it I should thank him. after I'm discharged I'll invite you guys for a feast since my father is paying we can eat as much as we want" you raised your fist in the air to lighted up the mood "I want dumplings soup with unagi!" Genta sprinted up in excitement
"genta, we are here for y/n not for food" Conan's eyes twitched as he smiled walking towards you

"it's good to see that your fine y/n here are some fruits"  You smiled back at Conan was already there as well. A few days past and your finally discharged "it's good to see you kids are enjoying this feast especially genta did you enjoy the dumplings soup"  genta nodded in excitement  "it's tasty thank you for inviting us mr.Okuda and y/n" You nodded with a smile
