Kaylee's POV

I didn't know why I was painting so fiercely.

The paint splattered on the white board, splashing on my uniform.

My head pounded but I wasn't bothered.

I hadn't captured the essence I wanted to, yet.

The door opened and the art teacher walked in and smiled at me.

"Hello Kaylee, you're just the person I wanted to see right now."

I was?

I turned to face her, my confusion evident on my features.

"Well, this Saturday, there is an exhibition of Michael Angelo's works. I got a ticket for two but my boyfriend and I kind of, ended things. This ticket is way too expensive to just throw way so I was wondering if you would..."

I flew into her arms before she could say another thing.

"Off course, I would love to go to the exhibition with you." I answered and she smiled and nodded.

When she left I went back to my painting but without my initial anger.

The door opened again and Chelsea came in, smiling at me.

"Hey Kaylee, you're just the girl I wanted to see."

"You have a gift for me too?" I asked and she grinned and shook her head.

"Actually I need a favour, the twins need watching this night while Tyrell and I hang out, is that too much to ask?"

I smiled and shook my head.

"Don't worry girl, I got it. Besides, I'm glad you seem to be giving Tyrell a chance."

She paused and bit her lip.

"We can only ever be friends." She said quietly and I looked at her sadly.

"I don't want another person's death on my hands Kaylee."

"You don't kill people Chelsea."

"You have no right to say that Kaylee!" She yelled making me flinch backwards.

I looked at her and saw that she was trying very hard not to cry.

"You're dying too. I'm killing you too. I'm the problem. I'm selfish for being around you when I know that somehow it's my fault,  I'm selfish being around Tyrell when I know that he is bound to get hurt because of me. I'm selfish..."

She turned and stormed away while I stood frozen in shock.

She didn't tell me she felt this way.

I ran out to find her and didn't know which way she had gone.

Chelsea liked being on her own when she was feeling guilty.

It wasn't her fault.

Tears, treacherous tears fell down my face and I wiped them away with my sleeve.

I didn't want anyone to see me.

Someone bumped into me and I turned to see Jamie.

She smiled at me and looked at me worriedly.

"Hey, are you okay?" She asked, holding my shoulders.

I shrugged myself away from her and walked to my locker.

"Hi." Alekai said behind me and I turned to face him.

His eyebrows furrowed and I shook my head, begging him not to ask.
