Third person POV

She stared down at her phone screen, her heart breaking even further.

The red exclamation point had been next to any text message she had tried to send.

She didn't expect this day would be so soon.

She didn't expect this day to come at all honestly.

They had just been laughing with each other hours before.

Now it was like he was a stranger with memories.

She blamed herself for what had happened.

When in all honesty she shouldn't.

It wasn't her fault that he lost the sparks that they shared.

It wasn't his fault that he got in bed with another woman.

He had made her think it was her fault when she had caught him.

   Lilly.

The woman's name he was in bed with.

   She knew her.

The man chose someone that she had been close with.

She stared down at her phone as tears coated her screen.

She shouldn't miss him as much as she did.

It had only been an hour since their fight.

She wished she could turn back the clock and see what she did to make him become unfaithful.

She wanted to know what Lilly had and she didn't.

When he gave her one last hug goodbye, that spark was gone.

The normal spark between them wasn't there.

It was the last thing she had wanted.

She wanted to marry this man.

She wanted to have his children.

She wanted to grow old with him.

She let out a choked sob before powering off her phone.

In this moment she knew that from now on, she would no longer let a man close to her like that again.

From that point on the walls that he worked so hard to tear down were now back and stood tall.

Protecting her heart from those who wish to harm it.
