Third Person/Author's POV

Anxiety is something that is commonly found among almost everyone.

Though there are different forms of anxiety.

    Anxiety over things happening.

  Social anxiety.

Anxiety over a test you have to take.

  And so on.

    Anxiety is different for everyone.

Some people have it severely were it ruins day to day activities.

Some people have it and not even know it.

   It varies per person.

   Everyone experiences it different.

Though something that no one ever told me about anxiety was how much it really can mess with your head.

   Anxiety gives you doubts.

Creates new fears that you didn't expect to have.

It plays mind games with you.

For me at least, it's almost always present.

Some days are worse than others.

It likes to play with the strings of my body when it pleases.

That little trickle of fear when waking up in the morning, or even when I'm trying to sleep.

The thoughts that it puts into my head keep me awake sometimes.

The never ending feeling that you are going to mess up.

Or the feeling that you think you messed up even when you didn't.

It plays absolute mind games to make you think such things.

    How do you stop it?

Yes there is medicine that you can take, though does it truly work?

You would become dependent on such a drug to keep your mind calm.

That drug would become a life saver for what, a few hours?

You know the nagging feeling of fear will sneak back up on you at some point.

There's other methods to keep your mind distracted.

In my case that's writing, playing games, or reading.

Though the feeling is still there.

I keep it hidden for the most part.

The constant feeling that I may mess up.

   I'm good at hiding it.

It was a skill I learned the hard way.

So what truly does anxiety feel like?

   That's a very good question.

The constant feeling of being nervous.

Your heart races in your chest at what feels to be 100 miles an hour.

   You could get dizzy.

   You could get tired.

   I get tired.

   What triggers anxiety?

   Honestly could be anything.

Anything from seeing someone you know in public.

Maybe you have to present in front of your class.

It could be something as small as just knowing that you have to start the day.

   Anything can trigger it.
