Third Person POV

"Marry me someday?" He asked the girl with a large smile.

"We are only seven Jaden, why plan so far ahead?" She questioned back crossing her arms.

"Exactly! We are only seven so we must plan now!" The boy exclaimed while grabbing the girl's hands.

She just gave him an odd look in return.

"Marry me in the future. Please." The boy begged while sticking out his bottom lip.

"Fine! I will." The girl gave in after a minute of his pouts.

"Promise?" He spoke while sticking out his pinkie finger.

She looped her pinkie with his, a smile on her face.

   "I promise." She replied.

"You promised." The boy whispered as he leaned his back against the grave behind him, as tears streamed down his face.

His engagement ring along with her's lay in his tightly enclosed fist.

     Her promise was broken...

   Though not by choice.
