Third Person POV
She told herself that she wouldn't love a man again.
She told herself that she would guard her heart with 50 foot brick walls.
Then she met him.
Forest green eyes and a smile that made her knees weak.
She told herself she wouldn't love again.
That she wouldn't let her heart get broken again.
But those eyes.
His welcoming smile.
It drew her in.
He made her happy.
But does she trust that it will last?
The walls crumble around her heart,
Though as she gets lost in her mind they get built right back up.
She's scared.
Scared of what the future holds.
Will he hurt her just like the last man?
Will he play with her feelings like her last lover.
She is scared of letting her walls down just to be hurt once more.
Then she looks into those forest green eyes once more.
All worries fade.
Her heart swells.
Butterflies erupt in the stomach.
She told herself she wouldn't love a man again.
But when she talks to him, it's like the world around her stops.
All attention is on him.
He is all she thinks about.
He makes her smile like no other.
She told herself she would never love a man again.
But when looking in his eyes,
When he smiles at her.
She wants to go against her words.
Her words no longer mattered.
But she was scared.
She was scared of the future and what it entitles.
All she knows is at this time,
He is who she wants to be with.
Even if he breaks her heart into a million pieces.
