Calamity (Jensoo)

Chapter V

Jennie feels herself falling onto the floor, causing a loud thud. Oddly enough, she doesn't feel faint or any sort of liquid coming out from her head. Scared that it might be what she thinks it is, she opens her eyes.

She meets the raven's chocolate brown eyes, who only smiled at her, and that's when Jennie noticed.

Jisoo protected her.

She took the shot for Jennie.

"Why.. why would you-" The brunette couldn't even finish her sentence before more gunshots could be heard. The two girls flinched, and the younger girl swore she could hear Jisoo winced.

"YOU ASSHOLE!" Jennie opened her eyes again to see Lisa shooting the three other girls in pure anger, most of the shots were aimed near them but it didn't actually hit them, it shows that even Lisa has second thoughts about killing someone.

Chaeyoung pulled Jisoo away, and that's when the brunette noticed the gunshot wound on the raven's shoulder.

The blonde was surprisingly strong, as she quickly hid Jisoo behind the counter while Lisa kept shouting and cursing at the three girls, with Nayeon rolling her eyes.

Jennie stood up and hid behind Chaeyoung. Nayeon didn't even get to open her mouth before there were loud banging coming from outside, the monsters have heard them and here they were, ready to snatch anyone alive and bring them to the light.

Shocked, Nayeon quickly ordered the other two to put their suits back on before doing so herself. Jisoo also went to grab her suit that was on the floor before the aggressors could break through the windows to let light through.

Jeongyeon broke through the window using her elbow, and the three quickly ran out. Some of the monsters chased them while others went inside the pharmacy. 

"Inside the storage room!" Chaeyoung pointed towards a door before helping Jisoo up. The raven was holding her shoulder's wound, painting her hand with so much blood that Jennie almost puked at the sight of it.

Jennie quickly grabbed their supplies, not wanting to lose them of course, before getting inside with Lisa following behind and trying to hold the door back. "Chae, quick! Look for a back door, we could get out by going there." The blonde nodded and left Jisoo in Jennie's arms before looking around.

"Why did you do that, Jisoo?" The brunette whispered. 

The raven only looked down, hand still covering the gunshot wound. To be honest, she didn't know why she did that either. Jisoo didn't even think properly about what she was about to do before protecting Jennie's body with her own, and the bullet landing on her shoulder.

"I guess it's better to have it on your shoulder rather than your head." Jisoo answered, a faint smile over her face as she tries to hide the fact that it's hurting so bad.

Jennie wasn't amused with Jisoo's answer, before whispering right in her ear, "We'll talk about this later. We need to get out of here and get you fixed up."

"Guys, over here!" Chaeyoung jumped up and down trying to get the three's attention.

"You guys go first, I'll stay behind a bit." The pink-haired girl said.

"But-" Jisoo was cut off by Lisa glaring at her, it was obvious to the older girl that the glare had two different meanings.

"Alright, fine." Jennie and Chaeyoung quickly escorted Jisoo out first. Once Lisa was sure she was safe, she quickly ran, leaving the door open as the monsters caught up with her.

When Lisa finally ran out, Chaeyoung quickly closed the door before locking it. She had found the keys on the floor in front of the backdoor and assumed it's the right one. Fortunately, it was.
