"So," Jennie starts off. The skating rink was illuminated by several different candles, surrounding all four of them. While Chaeyoung and Lisa were soundly asleep, Jennie and Jisoo had sat down, waiting for the other to start.
"So," The raven repeats. The silence was unusually awkward, probably due to the fact that the two had a huge fight 2 days ago which resulted in the younger girl getting kidnapped and a gunfight breaking out. Jisoo wasn't sure what happened to Nayeon and her gang, but she hopes they won't be disturbing them anymore.
"First of all, I just wanna-"
"So basically-"
The two stopped and looked at each other, a silent gesture that says "Oh, you go first."
"You go first, Jisoo. You're the older one." Jennie says with a small and polite smile.
"Oh no no," The raven waves both of her hands, implying disagreement. "You go first, Jennie. I insist."
"But-"
"You can go first." And there it was again, that annoyingly husky and dominant voice of hers. Jennie inhales.
"Well, I don't really know where to start." She smiles sheepishly, scratching the back of her neck. The older girl only gave a gentle nod in return, "Take your time, love."
"Love." Jennie loved being called that, but she felt like it wasn't the right moment to use it. What used to be a name that gave Jennie that fuzzy feeling, now it was more of an alien gesture. She didn't deserved to be called that, especially not when you remember what their fight was about.
"Im.. sorry. For what I said. I-I didn't really mean it, I swear!" The brunette couldn't even look at Jisoo in the eyes, she could only feel shame.
"I was caught up in the anger, I definitely shouldn't have brought your past relationship up.. and not only that, I definitely overreacted and it was dumb. I mean, it's okay if you reject me! Really! We could just be friends, yeah, just friends. We don't have to be anything more than that if you're not comfortable! Im perfectly okay with being friends, bestfriends even. It's just that- I-" Jennie was cut off, not by a finger, but by a pair of soft lips that had met her own.
Her eyes widened. She froze on the spot. But soon, she gave in to the unexpected kiss. Her eyes were now closed. The brunette felt sparks, it felt like she was on cloud 9. Jisoo's lips perfectly matched hers, like two puzzle pieces fitting perfectly in place. It tasted like strawberries. It was sweet, just like the raven herself.
The kiss stopped as soon as it began, way too soon if you asked Jennie. Jennie's eyes were still closed. Soon, a smile grew on her face. She slowly opened her eyes after she came back down to earth, she meets Jisoo's glowing brown eyes that were as bright as the stars in the sky.
"You ramble too much sometimes, y'know?" The raven smiles as well.
Jennie licks her lips, her own hand touching it, afraid she might accidentally let the kiss fade away.
"Jennie. I've been thinking, and.. I want to say sorry as well. We could've talked about it properly without shouting. And, you were right. We have each other after all. Maybe.. we could.." Jisoo trails off.
"We could.. give this relationship a try, y'know?" Jennie's jaw was wide open.
"Are you saying that..?"
"Jennie Kim, would you like to be my girlfriend?" The older girl asked. The brunette couldn't even answer, she was in too much shock. Seconds passed by and Jisoo started to get worried.
"J-Jen? Are you-"
"YES! DEFINITELY FUCKING YES!!!" Jennie suddenly crushes Jisoo in a bear hug that made the two of them fall to the ground, the brunette on top of Jisoo.
