"Dinners at 6, we sit at the table all together," my aunt said, they all left the room, leaving me alone.
I laid back on the bed, trying to think through everything that went on today. I remembered then that my aunt said there was clothes in the closet so I got up and looked. There was two piles of jean shorts, and hanging was a bunch of tank tops and shirts. There was also a couple dresses in the back. I was sweating still in my jeans and sweatshirt so I changed into some shorts, keeping my sweatshirt on though.
Dinner time came quickly. "Mom made pasta!" Lilly said as she came up to my door, so I walked with her down to dinner.
"You're wearing the shorts, I'm glad they fit! I was afraid you wouldn't like any of the clothes," my aunt said, her face was genuine.
"They're great thank you."
Alice sat at the middle of the table, and I sat on the other side with Lilly. "So, there's a festival in the center tomorrow, food, games, people. So if you wanted to go everyone is dying to meet you."
"Sounds nice," I answered my uncle. I use to be a social person before my parents died, always going to parties and hanging out with people. But when my parents died no one wanted to hang out with the sad orphan girl anymore.
"I'll be hanging out with my friends, just so you know," Alice looked at her dad, she seemed to always have a look of annoyance. "Can I be excused now?"
"Yea," he responded to her.
The rest of dinner was nice, but by the time it was over I was exhausted.
