Sink or swim
This saying means something different to me than to most
To sink is too relax, to give up, to give in
To give in to the darkness that plagues us
To give up on ever being worth moreTo swim is to fight against the current
To swim, is to claw out of your grave
To swim, is to emerge from the darkness, but to emerge is tiring
Too tiring, if you ask meWhy fight when you can sleep?
Why claw out when you can rest?
Why swim, when you can sinkSink below the turmoil, the pain, the tears.
Relax and fall into the bed of dirt
Give in to your nightmares, and you might wake to find a forest of bamboo in which you can playTo sink or swim
Most would chose swim,
Some would chose sink
I, however,....I choose floatI'm not going to fight, nor let it take me
Instead, I'll let what happens, happen
I'll let myself float upwards and into the dark while remaining awake
I'll let my chest expand upwards, and bring my body to the pond so the next generation of scumbags may find me and burn my consciousness to oblivion(This image is my own work)
