Stupid
They continue to boast, shouting out their greatness as if it's worth something.
They always flaunt to make people jealous,
But they make the king yearn.

He yearns for the glory and gold
He yearns for the same happiness
He yearns to know the victors heart

It's all so stupid
The king knows how this works,
He knew he wouldn't get what he wanted,
And he knew they would flaunt it.
Yet it hurts him.

It hurts him to know of their riches,
Their success,
Their happiness

It's unfair
Why does she get to bask in his riches?
She was just a village girl!
His highness was much more worthy.

Why should the fox give the rabbit what it wants while ignoring the bear?

Never the less, the kind slept
Trying to focus his thoughts on the duke of a nearby town.

Let me float like a piece of driftwood down the stream, towards the lake, though I yearn for the ocean.
Then maybe my crown will become weightless, allowing me to float to the heavens
