Next Sunday I got my driver's license. After church Nick texted me.
Nick: Hey
Me: what's up?
Nick: can't I just text my beautiful girlfriend?
Me: 🤔let me think....
Nick: the answer is yes. I can text my beautiful girlfriend.❤
Me: ill allow it
Me: only this once though!
Nick: okay, okay.
Nick: what I wanted to ask you was..
Nick: well, do you want to have dinner with me and my family tonight at our house?
Nick: both my sister and brother are home so you can meet them and you get to hangout with me as a bonus???
Me: um, let me ask my parents
Nick: you're telling them about us?
Me: do you not want me to?
Nick: I'm just wondering...
Me: what does that mean?
Nick: well, you having dinner with me and my family kind of makes it official on my end.
Nick: do you want to make it official on your end too?
Me: ...
Me: sure? Yes? Yeah, okay
Me: lets make it official
Nick: yay!!! I really like you Nat❤❤
Me: I really like you too Nick Balor❤❤
I got up from my bed and went downstairs.
"Hey, Mom?" I asked her.
"Yes?"
"Can I go to a friend's house for dinner?" I asked.
"Yeah, which friend out of curiosity?" She asked.
"Uh, Nick." I said.
"Oh, really? Will there be anyone else there?" She asked.
"Yes, his family." I replied getting nervous.
"Ooo, is my daughter dating?" She asked setting her phone down and placing her chin in her palms like a school girl.
"Maybe?? Yes. I am. Just please don't tell the boys yet. You can tell Dad just not my brothers. Please?" I asked.
"Okay. Go enjoy your date sweetie." Mom said.
My face was on fire, so I dashed upstairs to my room as Mom chuckled like an evil little old lady.
I texted Nick.
Me: I can come tonight.
Me: but we're going to have to figure out a way to tell the girls and my brothers and Brett.
Nick: okay. Well, we could just randomly drop the bomb that we both aren't single anymore??
Me: maybe.... Lets just think about it
Me: what time should I come over.
Nick: 4:30 then we can hangout and then eat
Me: okay, see you then❤🙃
