Shikamaru walked into the hospital smoking a cigarette, unaware of what he was about to walk into. He asked for Neji's room number and was given it immediately. He had a few words for the men at the base and the men that were packed in that V.I.P room right now.

Though he told them not to indulge in Naruto's recklessness, they also see him as their Donna and their Donna was mad and while Shikamaru was scary while he was mad, he didn't hold a candle to Naruto and they would rather not take their chances.

So as the door opened to the room, he looked and saw Neji and Gaara on the bed together. Neji didn't look too bad but he also was lucky enough to not be shot by any major organ and or Artery that would cause him to bleed profusely.

His men and woman were sitting in chairs or leaning against the wall talking. They didn't look like they were paying attention and so he continued looking.

His son was sleeping in Gaara's arms, and Naruto was on the phone until he looked up. He stood, two days worth of stewing and spoke.

"Shikamaru, I've been waiting for you to get here." Naruto said and Shikamaru blinked, he took the cigarette out of his mouth and was getting ready to speak but he felt his cheek stinging in the next moments.

The room was quiet. They weren't on alert before but they were on alert now. Shikamaru was ultimately confused as to why he was slapped. He didn't remember saying anything crazy on the way here, but Naruto yanked him down to his eye level and fixed him with a hard glare.

Shikamaru raised a brow, is this what his team meant when they said Naruto had a temper? It was cute attractive even.

"Don't ever call me the same damn nickname you called that fucking sand witch or I'll place a bullet in your fucking cranium." Shikamaru blinked, before linking in his brain that he did indeed call Temari princess and he called Naruto princess two days ago.

"How did your brain managed to piece that together?" Naruto let go of Shikamaru's shirt and scoffed.

"Don't worry about me and my brain, don't call me that again understand me." Shikamaru smirked and brought Naruto into a hug.

"Yes Donna." Naruto rolled his eyes but relaxed into Shikamaru as the group made a mental note to not piss Naruto off. Not even Temari had the balls to hit and or curse at Shikamaru.

"I'm glad to see you are okay, Neji." Shikamaru said, running a hand through Naruto's hair as the multicolored haired male fell asleep, Gaara was still asleep and Shikadai was running around with Sai and Ino.

"I'm fine, what should we do about that group?" Neji asked, and Shikamaru knew. He wanted to wait until Naruto and Gaara were up to fully discuss it, but Neji had the same idea.

"You think? How would they react?" Neji said, already knowing what Shikamaru was thinking. Shikamaru sighed and Naruto sighed with him.

"Who knows, Naruto just slapped the shit out of me a few hours ago. When we tell them this, I will be dodging something." Shikamaru said, as Naruto curled into him as if nothing was wrong in the world and he hadn't just threatened the Nara within an inch of his life.

"I'm certain they'll take it well." Neji said, running a hand through Gaara's shorter hair, hearing him sigh softly.

Though as Neji thought, they took it well.

Gaara and Naruto stood there about three weeks later, heads tilted as they looked at their boyfriend. The room was quiet and Shikamaru and Neji thought for a second that life was over. They were going to die and that this was the end of the line.

"Not a problem, I had anticipated this outcome." Gaara said and Naruto scoffed.

"So you took me away from Shikadai for this? I'm sick." Naruto said and Shikamaru sighed. Neji held an amused smile.

"We thought you would miss one another." Neji said, because Shikamaru just lit another cigarette and Naruto shrugged.

"Gaara is not that far from me, plus phones exist." Naruto said, and Shikamaru chimed in.

"You and Gaara used to be so codependent when we met you both, so let's not forget about that." Naruto blinked because Shikamaru had a point. However he didn't care.

"Does it look like we are codependent now? Listen honey." Naruro started walking over to Shikamaru and wrapping his arms around him. Kissing Shikamaru on his cheek and speaking.

"Gaara and Neji will do fine running your second branch in Suna. Me and Gaara can always meet up and talk. This is the efficient step forward now with that being said." Naruto said, smiling a little and giving Shikamaru one more kiss on the cheek.

"I'm going to go find my child now, and maybe start dinner while you three discuss this." Naruto said heading to find Shikadai but not before hugging Gaara and then heading on his way.

Gaara hummed and went to sit down with Neji and then decided that he wanted to be anywhere but here and thought they should get on with talking.

Shikamaru kept quiet as he watched Neji and Gaara talk. They occasionally looked to Shikamaru to see if they were on the right track, earning a nod from the man.

It made sense Shikamaru not to dictate this conversation until he needed too. Yes Gaara and Neji are working for him but they had enough trust to run it and run it with ease.

"Yes I'm allowing you to take 40% of the members to Suna with you. Can't run a group without people. Everybody is on the line aside from Naruto." Shikamaru said and Gaara hummed.

"I definitely want Sakura and Sasuke." Gaara said and Shikamaru nodded. That was a good choice, those two would easily be their right hand man and woman.

Which meant Choji and Ino were getting a promotion here.

Gaara was careful not to break up any couples, and with that he had a clear list of who was going to Suna and over the next few days.

The group was coming together and soon Shikamaru would have a group and each part of the land.
