This story will kinda be a little like my story, "Trapped". Only because it takes place during the pandemic, except in this story they're in their mid-late 20's.
"Really weird! I'm glad she latched so easily.. but yeah, it feels so strange." Jessica giggles.
Danny takes his phone out and snaps a few pictures.
"Danny, don't."
"I won't post them. You'll wanna look back on this moment later."
Jessica looks up and gives him a soft smile. "You're right. Thank you, love."
"You're welcome. Smile."
Jessica smiles and Danny takes another picture. He then sits bedside her and they both look down to the baby.
"She's so beautiful."
"I know. I can't believe this is real."
"You're ours, Marlowe. We get to see you grow up and become a real person! That's so crazy."
"I hope we don't screw her up, Danny."
"Jess." Danny chuckles.
"Well what if we raise her to be a really horrible person?"
"Honey, we won't. We're both nice people so I know Marlowe will be too."
"Yeah, I guess that's true."
Danny chuckles and kisses her head. "Baby, you're silly."
Jessica giggles cutely.

Two days later.

"It's time to go home, pretty girl! Are you ready?"
The baby sighs and moves a bit.
"Did she just sigh?" Danny laughs. "She's like, I'd rather not go with you two. Put me back where I was!"
"Right?" Jessica laughs and places her hand on the baby.

"She's totally bored with us already."

Once homeJessica fed the baby and took a nap. She really wished her mother were there, but she of course had to be safe and wait for her mother to be tested before letting her meet Marlowe.
Dorothy made some food for Danny and Jessica, and dropped it off on the porch.
Jessica held the baby and stood by the window.
"Marley, look! It's Nana!"
"Oh precious baby!" Dorothy cried. She wanted to hold that little baby so much. She wanted to hug her daughter and just spend time with them.
"I love you, momma."
Dorothy kissed her hand and touched the window. "I love you too, baby."
Jessica hated that Covid took this away from them. Dorothy has been quarantined at home, but still had to be tested just to be one hundred percent sure.
Of course it was better to be safe than sorry, but it hurt so bad.
