Sarah...

"Okay, I'm here."

"Alright, I'm coming." Jessica walked to her front door and shut her phone off as soon as she opened it.

"Hey." Danny smiles softly.

"Hi." Jessica breaks.

Danny sets his things down and took Jessica in his arms.

"I don't want her to die, Danny."

"She's not going to die, Jess."

"If you watch the news EVERYONE is dying from this!"

"Sarah's different. She'll be okay. She's a firecracker.. this won't break her."

"I don't know what I'd do without her."

"Don't think about that. She's going to get better, Jessica."

"I hope so.."

"She will!"

Just then both of their cellphones buzzed.
Danny looked at the message and said, "It's Evan. He says he's sorry but he's really busy and couldn't get on zoom earlier."

"I have a feeling it'll just be us two on these group chats for a while."

"Me too. Hey look!" Danny smiles and changes the subject. "I have left over Italian food made from a real Italian!"

"Huh?"

"My Grammy made it for me." He smiles cutely.

Jessica couldn't help but laugh a little.
"I can't resist her cooking. Let's eat."

"I'll fix us some plates, you just sit down and relax. You know what? Grab some wine while I get the food.  We deserve it, right?"

"Definitely!"

"This is delicious!"

"It is, isn't it?"

"Mhm!"

"So how's your family?" Danny asks.

"They're okay. My dad is high risk so him and my mom are completely isolating themselves. My sisters are both going crazy in the house with their husbands and kids."

Danny chuckles. "And George?"

"He's staying with his girlfriend."

"Nice! Man, imagine being in a relationship now that everyone is stuck at home.  All the sex you can stomach!"

Jessica laughs and shakes her head.
"Some people are just lucky."

"Yeah.."

"Imagine all the babies that will come out of this."

"Oh gosh, I know!  Crazy!"

"Yeah.. Well.. anyway.."

"More wine?" Danny smiles.

"Well of course!" Jessica giggles.

"Thanks for coming over, Danny.  I really appreciate it."

"Anything for the baby." Danny says with a smile.

Jessica laughs.
"Thanks."

Danny then wraps hi arms around her and they hug in silence.

"I'll talk to you tomorrow.  Hopefully the other two can get on as well."

"Yeah.. Hopefully."

"If not then we can entertain each other I'm sure!"

Jessica laughs.
"We can.. Goodnight, Danny."

"Goodnight."

Two weeks later.
Evan's POV.

"Sarah.. I know you can hear me.. so uh.. I'm just gonna talk. You need to get better so you can go home. You've got to fight this, Sar! They're giving up on you.. but I'm not gonna let them. I won't let them give up on you! I promise."

Evan looks down to Sarah who was on a ventilator.

"I love you, Sarah."

Meanwhile Danny and Jessica were waiting for him on Zoom.

"Well today I went for a dip in the pool between classes, so that was a nice change!" Jessica smiles.

"Nice! I had a very important meeting earlier and only dressed my top half. They had no idea I was in my underwear!"

Jessica cracks up laughing.
"Okay, you win! That's great!"

Danny laughs. "It was pretty thrilling."

"I bet!"

Jessica then calms down and sighs.
"Man, I miss hanging out all together.. Evan doesn't even log on to talk to us anymore!"

"He's busy with work, Jess."

"I know, I know! I'm just sad.. I want our friends back." Jessica pouts.

"Me too.."

"Have you been out at all?"

"No, you?"

"No. Wanna stay with me?"

"Tonight?"

"Yeah or the whole weekend. I mean we're on zoom talking if we aren't working. Plus, you can come over and maybe help me out with all of my new furniture I ordered!" Jessica smiles.

"Oh I see what you're doing." Danny laughs.
"You're inviting me over and putting me to work!"

"Hey I'll make you snacks!"

"I do love snacks."

"Yeah so do we have a deal?"

"Sure! I'll be there soon."

"Yay! Text me or just honk when you get here and I'll let you in."

"Alright, see you in a little while."

"Okay, bye!"
