This story will kinda be a little like my story, "Trapped". Only because it takes place during the pandemic, except in this story they're in their mid-late 20's.

Danny got everything situated out back and walked upstairs to Jessica's room.
He knocked twice and waited for Jessica to answer.
"Coming, just a second!"
Jessica opened the door and smiled. "I didn't know what to wear." She giggles.

"You look beautiful, Jessie." Danny smiles.
"Heh! Thank you.."
"So uh.. uh I.."
"Let's go!" Jessica laughs.
Danny walks Jessica out to the car. He then drove around the neighborhood and back to Jessica's house.
"Surprise! I've brought you to Casa de Lange!"
Jessica laughs. "Yay, I love this place!"
"I had a feeling you would." Danny winks. He then gets out of the car and hurries over to open Jessica's door.
Jessica smiles and takes Danny's hand. "Thank you, sir."
"You're welcome, ma'am!"
"I can't wait to see what they're serving tonight!" Jessica giggles.
Danny chuckles. "I have a feeling it's something you love. Oh and get this! I heard the chef is really really cute."
Jessica laughs. "Oh really? Hm! Interesting." She smirks.
Danny brought Jessica out to the back yard. There were lights everywhere, and rose petals on the ground leading the way to a table and chairs.
"Wow! I love what you've done to the place." Jessica chuckles.
Danny walked over and pulled Jessica's chair out for her. He then went inside and grabbed their food.

"Here you go, ma'am. Sorry, we're a little short on staff today."
Jessica giggles. "It's alright. Everything looks great, Danny. You really went all out!"
"Since we can't go out, I wanted to make it up to you. I wanted it to be special for us."
"Well you've certainly succeeded!"
The two enjoy the delicious meal Danny cooked for them. They had great conversation, and the night was beautiful. They couldn't ask for a better first date.
"Dinner was delicious, Huston. Oh and.. you were right."
"About what?"
"The chef is really cute." Jessica smiles.
"Oh! Well.." Danny smiles and blushes a bit.
Jessica laughs.
"You really think I'm cute?"
"Not you, the chef!" Jessica jokes. "I'm just messing with you. Yes, I do think you're cute, Huston."
"That's so funny to me!"
"Why?"
"I don't know.. I just didn't think you'd ever feel that way about me."
"Aw Danny.. I've always thought you were very very handsome." Jessica smiles.
Really?"
"Yeah! Well.. Not always." Jessica laughs. "At one point I didn't even like you!"

2001
"Tony! Daniel! Your friends are here!" Danny's mother called out for them.
"Mom! They're not my friends, they're babies! Those girls are Tony's friends!" Danny marched.
"Yes but you can still play with them while me, Mrs. Lange, and Mrs. Paulson talk."
"Fine!" Danny groans.
"TONY! Hi friend!" Sarah ran in. Her hair already a mess from her being such a wild child.
"Hi Sarah! Hi Jessie!" Tony smiled and waved.
Jessica buried her face in her mother's leg and whined.
"Jessica, it's fine. They're your friends, go play." Dorothy tried gently pulling her child off of her.
"I want you, mommy." Jessica said in a low voice. Jessica was a very shy child and would always take a while to get warmed up to speak to other people, even if she did know them.
"Come on, Jessie!" Sarah grabs Jessica's hand and drags her from her mother.
Jessica pouted and looked up to Danny with fear in her sweet little eyes.
"Hi." He says not cracking a smile.
"No!" Jessica covers her face and stomps her foot.
"I'm only here to make sure you don't get into my things!" Danny says.
"Guys, let's play! Can I pick the game, PLEEEEASE?!" Sarah asks.
"I no wanna play no games." Jessica nods. "I want my mommy!" She pouts and crosses her arms.
"You're a baby!" Danny laughs.
"No I not, I six!" Jessica once again pouts and stomps her foot, this time lifting her six little fingers up to show him.
"I not a baby!" Jessica still had a such a baby voice. She was the youngest for a few years so she was babied quite a lot.
"I a big sister so I not baby no more!"
Danny chuckled. Jessica was such a tiny but very angry little thing. With her Maryjane shoes, ruffle socks, cute little dress, curly pigtails, and two little bows clipped in, Jessica was absolutely adorable.
"Fine, you're not a baby.... But you are!"
"HEY! I no like you! You not my fwien, Dan!"
"You're not my friend either!"
Jessica scrunches her little face and starts beating him with her tiny fists.

Both Danny and Jessica laugh hysterically as they look back at that moment.
"After that day we were both fine with each other.. Kinda."
"Yeah, I still didn't really like you." Jessica says.
"I didn't either, but I did try to fake it sometimes!"
"Oh nice!" She laughs.
"Oh gosh.. fun times.."
"Very!"
"Good thing is I like you now.. Baby." Danny winks.
