Hey,
Six months is an awfully long time. I am sorry! University is taking up all of my time. But for the readers that stayed with me: this chapter is extra long. Also I have a very clear idea about how to continue this story so might actually start updating normally :).
Hope You like it!
Rolfie...
Josh POV
Okay I am not going to lie: Place the la concorde. Bit of a let down. I have no idea what the designers of this thing where thinking, must be something along the lines of: “Hey, you know what. Why don't we just make a huge point and just put that in the middle of a historic square. Because why the hell not..'' Even Daniel didn't look all that impressed, though he tried to mask it with a story about how this was an Egyptian obelisk, given to the French in the 19th century. I for one think they should just give it back. ''Keep your pointy crap, give us a pyramid!''
After that we were meant to go to the Louvre museum, but some idiots I didn't know the names of couldn't behave themselves, so we went straight to the hotel. Now, an hour later, we were walking on the dark streets of Paris on our way to quartier latin. Which was meant to be some street with cheap food. At first I didn't want to leave the hotel, but I was a big cheap-food enthusiast so I couldn't just let this opportunity go. I must say that I didn't regret it. Daniel had fallen asleep on my shoulder (That kid literally only had to see a bus to fall asleep) and I had taken his arms and wrapped them around me, which kinda made him look like a little monkey. When he woke up I of course claimed that he had clung to me all by himself and he had stumbled some hasty apologies. Which I had of course taken because I am such a good-hearted and forgiving person.
We were now all squeezing ourselves trough some very narrow alleyway and I half expected it to lead us to the underworld.
''Josh?'' I heard Daniel squeak before me. He clearly wasn't a fan of dark underworld alleys
''I'm here love'' I whispered in his ear, I was holding both of his shoulders and slowly led him trough the alley. This may have been a bit melodramatic but Daniel didn't seem to mind, probably because he knows just how much I live for drama. Though I liked to believe it was because he just liked to have me near.
We had reached the other end of the alley and as it turns out, we weren't in the underworld, but in a little cute street full of food stands and restaurants. Outside the restaurants were people trying to lure you in, offering you cheap food or free drinks. The whole thing could easily come from a movie. Before we left the bus we had all gotten some money with which we could buy our food. At first I had been skeptical about the 10 euros I got handed, but now I believe that must be enough to get a good deal here.
''So, darling? What are we feeling like today?'' I said in my best posh gentleman voice.
Daniel giggled but then he played along.
''I don't know, honneyboo. Just not something with carbs. Mrs. Greenwhich told me they are horrendous for your figure'' He replied in a high feminine voice which made me laugh more then it probably should.
''Alright no carbs..How about we get some pasta?''
