Third Person.Melody and Zach sat across from each other on his bed, sitting comfortably as they ate some cake and drank some nice wine.
The two had such a nice time on their second "unofficial date", they didn't want it to end, which is why the girl stayed at his house until it was dark out as they had a treat to celebrate their success.
"Hm, yeah, you see...I'd much rather celebrate like this than with some big party. I love parties, but nothing compares to you." Zach said softly, slightly tipsy from the wine.
Melody smiled and shook her head, looking out of the window, "Why do you flirt with me so much? You know I'm too scared to date you,"
Zach cleared his throat, moving their now empty plates aside and moving closer to her.
"I really don't mean to...I just accidently blurt it out. I'll stop if it makes you uncomfortable. I just...I really like you, MJ." Zach spoke slowly, thinking about every word he said.
Melody sighed. She didn't want to hurt the boy, and she liked him just as much as he liked her, but she couldn't do another relationship.
"Zach, I dont-" before she could even finish, Zach cut her off.
"You don't feel the same, I know. I understand, It's okay. I just want you to know that I've never felt connected to someone the way I feel connected to you, and that if you were...ready to date me, I'd treat you like fucking royalty." He shook his head and got off the bed.
"I'm gonna go put the cake up and stuff. Get comfy, we'll watch the muppets when I get back." He smiled at her before walking out of the room.
Melody layed back in his bed and pulled the blanket over her body. She started thinking.
What would it be like if she did date him? Well, obviously he just stated that he'd treat her like fucking royalty but would he really? Or was he just all talk?
What would even happen if she just finally admitted her feelings for him? God, she could never do that. That'd be a literal set up for heartbreak. The girl had so many questions, that she knew would never actually be answered.
Zach came back and got next to her in the bed. He gently pulled her closer to him by wrapping his arms around her stomach, basically hugging her from behind.
He kissed her head and grabbed the remote, turning on the muppets even though they had already seen it 3 times this week.
"Zach," She looked up at him, although to her he looked upside down/sideways because her back was against his front.
"Hm, yeah?" He looked down at her, moving a bit of her hair out of her face but wrapping his arms right back around her when he was done.
They looked at each other for a moment before melody leaned in and kissed him.
Zach almost immediately kissed back, hesitating for a second out of shock. Zach unwrapped his arms from around her and allowed her to slightly switch positions without breaking the kiss.
Melody was still in shock as well, she couldn't believe what she had just done. But she didn't regret it.
He moved one of his hands up to rest on her cheek as he slowly pulled away.
"Jesus, melody, how am I supposed to take it slow when you do that?" He said softly.
The girl laughed a bit and shook her head, wrapping her arms around his neck, "Oops."
"May I kiss you?" He asked and the girl quickly nodded, smiling at the fact he asked for her permission. They kissed again, this time with even more passion.
Let's just say, that night involved alot of kissing and very few words.
