"... Cat Noir? You're..."

"Is this... Marinette's room?"

The set up and design of the room had changed a lot over the years. Gone were the spatterings of Adrien posters here there and everywhere. Photos were all on one wall, arranged chicly in varying size and layout. The desk and work area had shifted to another side, and storage moved up where Marinette's single bed had been. Now there was the large double in the centre of the space, with a chair draped in men's smart clothes on one side, and another near a screen on the other.
But the layout and floor space was still eccelectically identical, Cat recognised it. It was so ... Marinette somehow. Her skill at colour and design seemed sewn into every corner.

The beautiful woman draped in the lucky charm blanket looked at him with eyes that made him uncomfortably warm. She seemed to know him. And she was familiar.

"Yes, Cat Noir. This is my room."

Cat stepped back. "Ma-Marinette?!"

She came up to standing, the blanket slipped from one shoulder, revealing her strappy pink polka dotted top. Cat blushed furiously and looked aside. "I.. I'm so sorry Marinette! I... don't know how I got here, or..." it didn't make any sense! None of it did!

Marinette stood, clutching the lucky charm to her, self-conscious of how inappropriate the moment was. She realised that this was the longest it had ever taken her to know what a lucky charm was to be used for, and laughed internally.

"Cat Noir, please don't worry. I know what's happened. Let me finish getting dressed and I'll explain everything."

Ladybug blinked, trying to clear her furiously clouded eyes.

Had Cat been aged? Where was his suit?

Adrien fumbled in the suddenly whipping wind. The memory of this night flying back with newfound clarity. But he didn't know what happened next. Not first hand anyway. What he knew was he saved everything, as Mister Noir.

"Plagg, Tikki, you with me?"

Both kwamis came along either side of him.

"We're here Adrien. We were pulled though too with the miraculous," Tikki had to lean in close so her tiny voice wasn't ripped away before Adrien could hear her.

"Tikki, me and Plagg are flying blind here, where is Ladybug right now?" Adrien was looking around all the wrong directions.

Tikki spotted the more camouflaged Ladybug wrapped tightly in the large flagging poster of Adrien's pale face falling through a thin mist of cloud further down. As Ladybug couldn't stretch out her arms, she was plummeting faster than they were.
"There!"

Adrien saw her then. "Right. So we'll have to save Minibug, land safely, find Mizz Hazbeen, and take out her akuma.
"Plagg, claws out!"

Ladybug saw the green flicker across the grown man and cover him in the familiar Cat suit. Her heart swelled with relief and hoped he could come help her quickly. She didn't have any way of cutting through the thick material holding her.

Cat Noir straightened into a bullet and fell toward Ladybug quickly. "Caught in a flytrap, Bugaboo?"

His grown voice might have thrown her, but his humour certainly didn't. "Not now Cat, get me out of this!"

"Cataclysm!" And the poster was dust.

"You wasted your cataclysm!" She frowned and rolled to see him. Her jaw dropped. There was a full grown Cat Noir, same self-loving grin, same half-closed green eyes, same raggedy hair, though somewhat longer. But he felt more confident, if that were possible, and far more powerful. Had just aging done this?
