Mister Noir sat next to a gargoyle, leaning with his face in his hands the same way. He didn't look up as Ladybug landed softly behind him.

"I see you made a friend of your own kind."

"Excuse you, your mom seems to think your dad and I have plenty in common with them, and Phillipe here and I are quite proud of that."

Ladybug laughed. She too put both hands on her face as she leaned out to look at Paris in the twinkling orange street light.

"What's taking Bunnyx so long?" grumbled Ladybug.

"Wow, now who's found company they fit in with better than your delightful family? No offence, Phillipe."

"I'm sorry, Mister Noir, I just... the longer you have the two miraculous together, the more worried I am. I can't help but feel like Bunnyx should be here by now."

"Bunnyx is always just in time, don't worry about that.
"And I told you, I know I used both miraculous tonight because of a news article in my time.
"You certainly don't seem to worry about it in the future. I've been antsy all year waiting for tonight, and you just keep telling me it will be fine."

"I... I do?" Marinette looked down at passers-by, thinking.

"Ca... Mister Noir. You and I know who each other is in the future? We're even friends with each other's families. Have I been doing the right thing, making us keep our identities secret all this time?"

Mister Noir's eyes were locked on her in their usual, half-open, coquetish style, which made Ladybug's cheeks grow warm to see on his handsome grown face. "M'lady, there will be a time when not knowing each other's identities--even not having others not know our identities--will be a greater liability than a strength. But that doesn't mean it wasn't a strength at first.
"You want me to judge you and say you made the right choice. I don't know. But I do know I wouldn't change a thing."

Ladybug's eyes sparkled in the moonlight. "Really? You mean that?"

Noir grinned, "What would I change? Everything that happens in your time builds my time. Every bad thing or terrible stroke of luck is tied directly in to every good thing I have. Every moment of incredible sweetness I enjoy has its flip side. And I am satisfied right now, tonight, with how you have done things.
"Will that be reassurance enough, Minibug?"

Ladybug laughed softly. "Okay, Mister Noir. I believe you." But after a moment, she started a painful address, "except my Cat Noir is...uh.." She felt extremely uncomfortable discussing Cat Noir's feelings for her while Cat Noir was a grown man twice her age stood in front of her. She was grateful for 'Phillipe' between them.

And Mister Noir's grin cracked into hysterical laughter. "Oh, Bugaboo, nothing could be done about THAT! That I couldn't fix even if I had every miraculous in the world."

Shadow Moth carefully rebuilt Timeless in a large underground space near where the press conference would be held, placing the evilised amok gently in the watch Nathalie provided.

"There, I have restored you, Timeless. You will remain here, hidden until Nathalie calls you into action to freeze Ladybug."

The sentimonster merely tick tick ticked along softly, waiting patiently, enjoying the feel of time on its cogs.

Nathalie checked her pad. "Sir, Ladybug and Mister Noir have finally been spotted. They're just leaving the cathedral, headed back toward the Louvre."

"Good. So now we need Ladybug to come to us, for just a moment. Then any time restraints will be all behind us."
