On the way to Marinette's house, Mister Noir realised he'd called her Marinette.
"Ah, and I was being so careful. Well, no Bunnyx yet, so I'll just have to let it be and carry on."
He paused on the neighbouring rooftop to look at what had long been his home too. Under the moon, with Notre Dame nearby and the soft swash of he Seine lapping in the cold air, he knew even in this time it was more like home than his home.
He took a moment to tap something into his Cat phone, then he stepped off the roof and landed with his Cat Feet softly on the pavement below. He stepped up to the front of the bakery and pressed the bell.

Gabriel Agreste was pacing furiously in Nathalie's room wear she lay, still working to manage his personal affairs like the more than professional assistant she was.
Upstairs, 'Adrien' began piano practice. Gabriel glanced at his watch. Two minutes early. Good.
At least something was going as planned.
"How is it possible?! What could a pawn like Cat Noir want that he would use both miraculous and not just stop me now? Why would he come back from the future? He must be on his way here to try and stop me before I get the miraculous myself!"
"I don't think so, sir," Nathalie soothed. "If he knows where you are, he could have been here by now. He seems more worried about preserving the timeline than seeking you out. Perhaps we can use this to our advantage and collect both miraculous from one source?"
Gabriel's icy blue eyes darted to the side in thought. "Yes... we need to lure him out into a trap so tempting he can't resist. We need to threaten the timeline he's so concerned with..."

Marinette had returned and showered and was sat in the living room watching the news with her mom, waiting for Tom to finish dinner. She was silent and uncomfortable, waiting for Mister Noir to show up was rattling her nerves. Watching him on TV was surreal.
"Tom, look how grown up Cat Noir looks! He says the sentimonster swapped him from the future."
"Wow, a full grown Cat Noir sure makes ours look like a kitten, doesn't he?"
"I bet he'll get called Kitten Noir for ages after this," Sabine giggled.
The door bell surprised the little family. "Maybe that's your mum, Tom?"
"Well, I thought she was visiting Bora Bora this week to get a tan before she heads up to Finland to go snowshoeing under the Northern Lights, but stranger things have happened."
As her mum went to the door and her dad pulled some fresh aperitifs from the oven, Marinette took the chance to whisper to Tikki, "Do you think it's Mister Noir? He said he'd come to my home, but he wouldn't just knock on the door and come in like a normal house guest, would he?"
Tikki shrugged. They heard Sabine gasp and some laughter ring up through the floor.

Sabine opened the door and gasped to see Mister Noir towering over her, holding out a small bouquet of green chrysanthemums, a deep pink peony, and a three red roses.
"Mrs Dupain-Cheng, forgive me for startling you. I can't really be any less surprising, if you know what I mean."
Sabine's cheery laugh peeled as she welcomed him inside. "We weren't expecting you today, for sure, but you're always welcome, Cat -- or, Mister Noir.
"Tom! Have Marinette set out another place!"
