(Yao's pov)
It was getting late Yong was upstairs in Mei's room , Kiku and I were waiting for Leon to get home . "what's taking him so long " Kiku spoke up , " I don't know aru , we messaged him to come home asap , but he's still not here" I replied . I heard someone walk down the stairs , it was Yong "how is Mei?" Kiku asked "she's still not speaking , and her fever isn't going down" Yong replied , he was not grinning or acting up , he was taking responsibility this time. The other's went upstairs I went and sat down , and waited for Leon to come home.
(Leon's pov)
It was late , it was a bit of a walk until I reached home. When I reached home I stepped in and closed the door behind me . But something seemed ... off . I went in to the sitting room , to see Yao , sitting there . To my surprise he didn't get up and yell at me for being late. "Hey" I needed to break the tension somehow , but he didn't respond . I went and sat down beside him , and put my hand on his shoulder , that's when he snapped . "WHERE WERE YOU ARU?!?! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT HAPPENED , I TOLD YOU TO COME HOME LAST NIGHT ! WHAT WERE YOU DOING THAT LATE" he continued to yell at me , but never told me what happened . "I'm sorry" I said , this was the worst he's yelled at me , I normally don't care . " Go upstairs , and check on Mei , then you'll know what happened " Mei what happened to her ?!?! I ran up the stairs as fast as I could , I didn't realize that something happened to Mei , maybe that's why he wanted me home asap , I should have listened to him , just this one time . When I reached Mei's room I did't bother to knock , I went straight in , I wish I had came home. When I walked in I saw Mei lying in her bed she was pale her long dark hair every where , she was beaten and bruised she laid staring the ceiling , I was completely numb , I felt nothing . She had been beaten while walking home , luckily Yong found her , she had been lying in a bush , she had been beaten really bad . "We'll leave you 2 to talk " Kiku said as he looked over at Yong who was sitting beside Mei "but-" it looked like he wanted to stay but Kiku pulled him out . I went and sat down beside Mei she didn't look at me , her smile was gone . We sat in silence for the longest time , "I'm sorry" I had to apologize not only to Mei , but the rest of my family to Yao for ignoring him , to Kiku for not telling him that I would be late , to Yong for making him walk by himself and leaving without Mei , and finally to Mei for not being a better big brother . She didn't respond , she didn't even move . I reached for her hand , and held it , I didn't want to let go . It was silent again , but it only lasted for a short amount of time . "Why weren't you there..." she talked , the other's said she wasn't talking . "I'm sorry Mei..." that's all I could say , I was still stunned by the whole thing . "You promised" that's all she said , she laid down and closed her eyes "Mei , Mei please wake up" I didn't know what to do , I knew if she went to be in her condition she may not wake up . I ran out of the room , and down the stairs . The other's were sitting there "Mei" I yelled that got their attention "what happened aru?" Yao said , I was scared to tell them but I had to "She talked..." I hope they believe me . Yong and Kiku looked at each other and ran followed by Yao and myself . When we got to her she was even more weak and frail , "MEI" Yong yelled and hugged her , he looked like he was crying , I as about to cry too . Yao ran up to her and felt her forehead "she's burning up" he said Kiku and I stood back , we weren't to sure what to do . All we knew is we couldn't lose Mei , she was...the only thing our parents left behind. Our father died in a car crash before Mei was born , and our mother died giving birth to Mei . Yao was the one raised us all these years , I'm not sure he managed but he was able to raise us with all the basic needs , go to school and work part time . Kiku helped out too . Mei looked exactly like our mother and acted exactly like our father , I don't think anyone of us would be able to stand the idea of loosing them again. "Mei!" I look up and she Kiku in front of Mei he was in tears , Yong pulled out his phone and called the ambulance , Yao was trying to wake her up . She fell asleep and heart rate was slowing down . I realized I was so worried about Emil and graduating with him , I forgot about my family . I'm sorry everyone...
