(Leon's pov)
I woke up on the hospital floor next to Yong . To my surprise I was the first one up , even Yao was still sleeping . I stood up and looked over at Mei who was sleeping peacefully in the hospital bed , even though she was still hooked up to all those wires . I hated seeing her like this , all tied down to these machines . I decided to leave and get something to eat from the vending machine . After I grabbed a bottle of water I decided to see how Emil was I had brought our chemistry notes incase I got the chance to study with him . When I walked in his room he was leaned over throwing up in a bucket . I went and sat down behind him and pulled back the loose hairs that fell over his face . I couldn't speak I'm begging to lose hope that he'd be out of by finals . Not to mention Mei also has to write finals , there's no way she's be out of here by next week. Emil sat up a coughed a little and wiped his mouth , he hugged me and whispered something it was to quiet for me to hear, I wish I had heard what he said .
(Emil's pov)
"I'm sorry Leon" I whispered , the doctor said I wouldn't be out of here today , since I was throwing up, it started last night , I barley slept. I pulled back from the hug "what are you doing hear so early?" I asked , he looked up at me "Mei's in the hospital" What Mei?!? What happened? I can't ask its consider prying . "She was beaten when walking home the same day you ended up in the hospital. She was lying in bed , we thought she was okay to recover at home , but she was gasping for air and couldn't open her eyes" Leon went on to tell me what had happened , I was in shock , who would do something like that?!? I wanted to see Mei as well to see how she was doing . But I could barely move myself. "I'm sorry" I said , I didn't know what else to say , "it's fine" he said looking down . It was silent for a moment , it always ends up silent with him . I like it. "Hey I brought my chemistry notes , want to study?" He asked , I was surprised he came prepared I nodded and he pulled out the notes from a small plastic bag . We studied for an hour until he left to check on his sister. "See ya" I didn't want him to leave , but I know enough to understand. He kissed my forehead again and left . Why does he only kiss my forehead?
(Leon's pov)
I walked to Mei's room , it looked like the others were awake. "Aiya Leon where were you Aru?" Yao asked , I couldn't tell them that I went to see Emil "did you go to see him?" Kiku said , wait how did he know about Emil?!? "Uh n-no , I was studying , finals are soon I figured I should study" I didn't want to them , not yet. Mei laid back down , without touching any of the food the hospital staff served. "Mei , why aren't you eating ?" Yong asked looking up from his phone , I never noticed that she hadn't touched her food yet "it's yucky , and I don't feel good , my head hurts really bad and I feel really dizzy" she mumbled . "Should we call a nurse aru?" Yao asked , Kiku nodded and stepped out to get a nurse . Mei started sweating really bad. When the nurse came in she told us to leave the room , now we can only visit Mei one at a time until after the operation. They said the earliest she would be out of here was 2 weeks , which meant she'd have to miss her tests. I didn't want her to fail 8th grade , there has to be something we can do. Yong was visiting Mei , and Yao and Kiku were eating something they bought in the cafeteria. I didn't want to disturb either Mei or Emil so I went to the little gift shop . I saw a little bird it some how made me think of Emil , oh I remember now . The day I went to visit Emil he had pet bird that looked like this one , he named him Mr.Puffin he was a cute bird . But not as cute as my pet panda. I decided to buy it for him as a get well soon gift , I also bought Mei a stuffed puppy , since she kinda likes cute things. I went up to Mei's room , but Yong was still talking . So I decided to go back to Emil's room to maybe study some more . I wish had gotten there sooner .
