( Emil's pov)
I woke up late . This fever is getting worse , I can't even wake up on time anymore . I hate this. I looked over beside , I saw a note from Leon it said " Hey , I left for school . I didn't want to wake you , I'll be back after school again to help you study . Get well soon . From - Leon. Typical Leon , I tried to stand , bu my legs were shaking , I reached for my sweatshirt and threw it on. I didn't want to rely on Tino or Leon or the others any longer , I didn't' t want to be in this helpless state any longer .I stood up as best I could my legs were shaking really badly , but I made to the door and swung it open. I grabbed on to the railing as best I could I was gasping for air I didn't't know what was happening , but I had to get better , for Leon . I want to pass the exam's and graduate with him. I took a step on the first stair I felt so weak , i couldn't make it. I was on the last step , I was so close to making it , but... I couldn't . I fell, I felt my hit a solid surface , I heard a voice call my name it sounded like Lukas .That's all I remember.
(Leon's pov)
School went by , without him .The hour's couldn't seem to go by fast enough , I wanted to see him . "Leon" the teacher called out "I'd like to speak to you after class" he continued , wait, why ,am I in trouble , I didn't do anything wrong. Class ended I went up to the teacher , but to my surprise it had nothing to do with me . "Do you speak to Emil outside of school" he asked , why does he want to know about Emil "uh yea why?" , "well finals are coming up , I wanted to know if he will be attending since he missed school so much lately" of course Emil's coming he promised didn't he? "yes he will , I'm sure" I'm confident he'll be here "okay you may leave". I stepped out and ran to Emil's house , I already told Yong to go home without me and Mei had her after school art club . I have to make sure Emil passes these exam"s . When I got there I eagerly rang the doorbell , Mathias answered , he seemed ...out of character , he looked depressed . "Hey" I said trying to break the tension "hi" he replied , he seems so out of it . Maybe he got dumped? . "Uh is Emil home?" i asked "no" he immediately replied , "he's in the hospital Mathias and I were on our way to visit him , you should come along" i noticed Lukas standing in the back , wait ... Did he say hospital , what happened?!?! I nodded and left with the other two . None of us said a word the whole way there , I was thinking about him , what happened , I hope he's okay , I feel like a part of me is gone , If he dies ... A part of me will be gone. After a hour we reached the hospital . I ran in , I don't care who see's , I need to see if he's okay . I reached the unit he was in I ran in followed my Mathias and Lukas to see him lying unconscious . He was so pale his eye's were slightly purple underneath , his hair was a mess and he was wearing a hospital gown . He was so still , I couldn't bear to see him like this , I went completely numb until a nurses voice snapped me back into reality , " so , would any of you like to stay the night here in the futon?". I really want to stay , but I feel like his family should stay with him , because well it's his family. "Leon" Tino said "would you like to stay here" I was shocked to hear that "are you sure ? I mean your his family after all" I didn't want to be rude , " I feel like when Emil wakes up , he'd like to see you . I was hesitant at first but agreed . "The nurse said he can still hear us , so feel free to talk to him" Mathias added. I sat there and talked with the other"s , I learned about a lot from them , Emil was born in Iceland and really like's black liquorice . I also learned about the other's like that Lukas and Emil are biological brothers , while the others are just really close friend's . Mathias and Berwald are the oldest there about the same age as Yao maybe a year older , Lukas is 2 year's older than Kiku and Tino is the same age as him. We talked until visiting hours ended. The other's went home , I laid on the futon next to Emil and stared at him . He looked so peaceful "I love you please get better soon" i whispered hoping he could hear me. I laid there thinking about him until I fell asleep.
(Emil's pov)
I'm sorry Leon ,I can hear you I wish I was strong enough to respond . I promise I'll be out of here in time for exam's ... I love you too".
