Reunion

(Leon's pov)
Today was the day.
The day we would reunite after so many long years.
I just hope Emil and everyone else is ad nervous as me.
I got up and dropped Jia to school and Emil to work and went to work myself.
-hours later-
After picking Jia up from school, I fed her and began to get her dress as we both patiently waited for Emil to come home.
After half an hour or so I finished getting ready along with Jia, just then Emil walked through the door and set his stuff down "hurry up, I'm still waiting for the come over text from Kiku" "Wait that's today?!" I turned over to Emil "didn't you know" "NO!!" "What wrong daddy?" Jia said peaking over the couch "ahhh nothing" with that he ran upstairs to get dressed.
(Kiku's pov)
Ahh everything is set. Everyone has finally arrived, almost everyone. I should wait till thing settle down before I tell Emil and Leon to arrive. They are the guests of honour after all.
"Hey Yao" I called out "yes aru?" He looked up from cutting vegetables in the kitchen "umm could you pass me my phone?" I asked nervously "sure" He reached over and handed me my phone, I took it and unlocked it proceeding to send the message.
(Leon's pov)
I woke up from my nap with my phone vibrating in my pocket.
I sat up and checked it. It was Kiku. Shit.
I stood up "Emil" I yelled, I bent over in front of Jia and tried to wake her up "Jia honey were going" she groaned and sat up. "Where?" She asked half asleep. "Somewhere" I really wanted this to be a surprise "okay" she reached her arms around me and I picked her up. Poor girl was like so tired she fell asleep on me.
Just then Emil finally came downstairs "what took so long?" I asked
"Sorry" he replied
"Are you sure your ready to do this?"
"Yeah, kinda nervous though"
"Aha yeah I am to"
We left the house and got in the car, the ride was silent, I could tell he was nervous to see his brothers again, I was kinda nervous too, I wonder how everyone's changed?
Is Yao still single or does he have a girlfriend or boyfriend
How's Mei's grades, has she decided on a career yet? All these thoughts flooded my mind. Jia was asleep the whole ride.
When we arrived I pulled into the drive way and texted Kiku asking if I should come in now, he said he left the door unlocked so we could walk in.
After texting him I waited a minute and got a reply from him saying yes.
I looked over at Emil and held his hand "here's what were gonna do, we're gonna walk in and sneak behind Yao and Lukas and say their names, then they'll like turn around and see us and hopefully be happy. Good"
"Yeah" he agreed.
We got out and I unhooked Jia from her car seat and carried her.
We got to the front door, I looked back at Emil once more hesitantly, this could go so well or so wrong. I'm scared to know the outcome.
Emil reached for the door and slowly opened it so no one notices. I stepped in with Jia and Emil followed shutting the door slowly behind him.
We then crept into the living room and decided to stand at the entrance instead and wait to see who the first to notice would be.
"Emil" it was Matthias who noticed first. It grasped everyones attention, no one looked at us except for Yong and Kiku who already knew instead they looked at Matthias like he was crazy "idiot don't say something like that" Lukas said punching him.
"No look" Yong added pointing in our direction.
"Oh my God!" Tino yelled first and stood up followed by Mei and Kiku along with Berwald Yong Matthias and the small kid we saw at the zoo. They seemed happy, Mei and Tino ran up and hugged both Emil and I, soon it became and big group hug.
It was touching filled with tears and smiles, Yao and Lukas seemed to be in the most shock with our presence.
After everyone pulled away Yao and Lukas finally stood up and walked up to us. Yao came up to me and put his forehead agains mine, a tear slid from his eye, "I love you" he then hugged me.
He actually always gave the best hugs, they were so warm and lively. I really did miss him.
He pulled away and placed his forehead on mine, "I'm so proud of you" he whispered. That-that was the was first time he ever said that.
I looked up and saw him smile. I'm glad we came back.
I looked over to Emil and saw him being hugged by Lukas he didn't hug back but I know he was happy to see him.
After we went and sat down with Jia in my lap. Peter stood up and leaned in front of Jia, this kid's already getting it on. "Yo" he looked up at me "sorry" he backed up and sat down.
"She's so cute" Mei yelled a bit too loud and ran up to her. "Ah yeah". I felt Jia move around, I looked down to see that she woke up.
She looked around at the unfamiliar setting and was very confused. She looked up at me "papa, where are we, and who are these people." I leaned down to her "Jia this is mine and daddies family, your uncles and aunty." She looked away from me and at everyone else, why are they staring?
"Hello" she whispered, "Ni hao" Yao said cheerfully from the kitchen "hello" Tino smiled. The others continued on to greet Jia.
We went on to talk, catch up on all the times we missed. Mathias got a new job, Yong graduate, Mei already got a scholarship to med school, Tino and Berwald had a kid! So much happened, and we missed.
We also told them about everything that happened in our lives, our wedding, adopting Jia, meeting Arthur.
Jia and Peter were playing on the floor with the toys we had when we were little, some of them Tino brought from when Emil was a kid, and some of them were mine.
I missed my family.
They did care.
I love them.
I am the person I am today because of them.
I am with Emil because of them.
-hours later-
"Well nice seeing you guys again" Yao said as the others wave goodbye "bye"' we said as we left.
On the way home Jia and Emil went on and on about the reunion, Jia seemed to enjoy herself more than Emil and I did. But I just wish I had more time.
When we got home Emil went and put Jia to bed.
I went into our room and pulled out a note pad, I ripped out a few sheets of paper and began to write.
On the first slip of paper I wrote
To Yong- Thank you, for cheering me up when I'm down and for brightening my day everyday, and for always helping me to cause trouble. I love you. From your Partner in crime. Leon Wang.
On the second sheet I wrote
To Mei- Thank you, for giving my life some more meaning, I'm sorry for the one time out of anger I blamed you for mom's death, you are my baby sister, I never could hate you. I love you. From your big brother Leon Wang.
On the third sheet I wrote
Dear Kiku-Thank you ,for being there for me and for understanding me, you showed me how to be strong when it's needed and how to mess with peoples head. I loved you. From your best friend Leon Wang.
On the fourth sheet I wrote
Dear Yao-Thank you, for being my big brother, I'm sorry I ran away, I'm sorry I stopped talking to you after what happened after I was given to Arthur, I'm sorry i was mean to you and never appreciate you. I love you. From your baby brother Leon Wang.
On the fifth sheet I wrote
Dear Lukas- Thank you, for helping Emil when he was ill, but more importantly for accepting me into your family. I know I hated you and you never liked me and I ran away with your brother. But I'm sorry and thank you, please help Emil. I love you. From the guy who took your bro's v-card. Leon Wang.
On the sixth page I wrote
Dear Mathias- Thank you, for helping out when we were working on the reunion and for keeping Lukas together, and thanks for helping with that secret spy operation. I love you. From the guy who helped get your bro home and loved him. Leon Wang.
On the seventh page I wrote
Dear Tino- Thank you, for also helping Emil as a teen. I know I never spoke as much to you but I can tell your a genuine person who cared for Emil. Thank you for being there for him as a kid. I love you. From the guy who helped your kid at the zoo once. Leon Wang.
On the eighth page I wrote
Dear Berwald- Thank you, you helped Emil and cared for them. Please continue to do so. And I hope you and your family and happy together. Forever. I love you. From the guy who also helped your kid at the zoo. Leon Wang.
On the ninth page I wrote
Dear Arthur- Thank you, for giving me a place to stay and food to eat in a time of need. I'm sorry I made your life a living hell as a kid, even so you still helped me and the one I loved. I will never be able to thank you enough. I love you. From the guy who set off fireworks in you living room. Leon Wang
On the tenth page I wrote
Dear Jia- Thank you, for being such a strong beautiful little girl. I'm so sorry I'm not gonna be able to see you grow up, but I will never stop loving you. Please take care of you Daddy for me. I know you're a strong girl, but I want you to know, that it's okay to cry. No one will judge you. Your daddy and I love you no matter what. From you papa in heaven. Leon Wang.
On the eleventh and final page I wrote
Dear Emil- Thank you, for loving me. For being with me. For accepting me for my idiotic self. I will always love and never stop. I know that it's going to be hard for you, to raise Jia on your own. But I want you to know that, I love you. I'm sorry I never told you I was ill. Please don't ever stop smiling, I know behind your cold hands, there is a warm heart. I love you, and always will. From the guy who stole your heart. Leon Wang.
I then went and folded each of the letters, writing everyones names on their own. I placed them in the note book and slid it under my bed. I laid down and waited form Emil.
After I while he came in and laid down
"That was pretty crazy huh?"
"Yeah" I kissed his forehead, and then placed his hand on my hand. "I love you" a tear slipped out of my eye. "What's wrong" he asked concerned "nothing. Your hands are beautiful and so are you" "why?" "Emil, I love you."
"I love you too" I snuggled up against his chest and he wrapped his arms around me. We fell asleep. Sleeping our last night together in peace.
