CHAPTER 1,

FIRST IMPRESSION

A PAIR OF eyes suddenly snap open as Reyna finds herself awaking from unconsciousness, almost as though she was in a slumber and didn't even realise she had entered one. Brown eyes gaze around at her surrounds to see that she is seated at a stone table with seven other people. Reyna doesn't seem to ever recall meeting these people, but she still has a feeling deep inside that she actually knows them better than she thinks. The dirty blonde haired woman doesn't appear to have memories from before this present moment, but feels like she has a sense of belonging.

Reyna rises from her place at the stone table where she then makes her way over to one of the walls with a gold symbol engraved into it. As though it had felt her presence standing there, gold begins to emit off of the wall and travels down the frame of her body. It replaces her grey clothes with a baby blue coloured armoured suit with pristine white accents. There's also an appearance of a skirt that hangs around her waist that eventually cuts off at the front so that the leggings of the suit can be seen, giving it almost a cape look. The entire suit covers every bit of skin from below Reyna's neck and ensures that she is well protected during a fight, since that is her purpose.

Without saying a single word to anyone else, Reyna steps away from the wall and instinctively finds that her feet are walking herself walking over to the large glass window nearby. Outside of the ship is just the pure darkness of the galaxy that is mainly lit up by the blue and green planet ahead, along with the stars that all surround it. There are also purple and blue colours that intertwine with one another behind the stars, which gives the galaxy more light and beauty. A smiles spreads across Reyna's lips as she gazes out of the window with admiration, taking in just how gorgeous everything is.

"Beautiful, isn't it?"

Reyna reluctantly peels her brown eyes away from the galaxy to turn towards the male voice that had broken the comfortable silence that she once stood in. A man in a black suit with red accents on it can now be seen standing in front of her as he holds both hands in front of his body. Dark brown hair messily rests on top of his head, only hanging down to cover his forehead with gentle waves. Striking blue eyes are quick to meet her brown ones as a faint smirk is seen tugging at the corner of his lip. He doesn't dare pull his gaze away from her own, instead keeping it locked in order to keep her attention on him.

"It is." Reyna agrees before glancing around the room to see it's now empty. "You aren't going to explore the rest of the ship like the others?"

"Aren't you?" He questions back.

"I will. I just wanted to see the view first." Reyna truthfully states while turning to look at him for a second time now. "To be honest, it was probably the first thing to catch my attention."

"Oh, so I didn't catch it first?" He teases as he's quick to notice her eyes widen at this. "You caught mine."

"Flirt." Reyna comments with a light laugh. "If that's your power then you need to get better at it because I don't think it'll work on me."

"You keep telling yourself that." He challenges with that same smirk on his face. "But it's not my power."

"I don't believe you." Reyna jokingly replies, a grin splitting across her face as she folds her arms across her torso. "I don't even know your name yet, nor have I told you mine either."

"Well, I'm Druig." He informs.

She smiles, dropping her arms. "Reyna."

"Nice to meet you, Reyna." Druig tells her while he returns the smile with his own. "Would you care to join me on explore the rest of this ship?"

"It'd be an honour." Reyna replies.

As far as first impressions go, Druig is definitely an outgoing person and appears to speak his mind. He seems bold and confident, which admittedly caught Reyna off guard when he first spoke. But the dirty blonde woman doesn't appear to mind and actually wants to get to know Druig because he's interesting. She can already see them becoming really close.

So, together, Reyna and Druig both wander around the ship as they explore the surroundings with the aim to get used to it. The pair meet the rest of other Eternals along the way, each introducing themselves while making some small talk in order to get to know one another. But despite only just meeting, it felt as though the eight Eternals had all known each other from somewhere else, unable to pinpoint from where exactly — however, no one chose to put much effort into the thought and simply lives in the moment.

sorry that this chapter is kind of short!

also, when describing the suit, i was thinking about this design. the dip of the suit in the chest area would come up a bit more so that it will stop at her neck like the rest of the eternals :)
