Chapter Twelve

❤❤❤Aria’s POV❤❤❤

I had to get to Alek before he read that text.  Hopefully he was sleeping so I can knock on his door, and Logan will answer so I don’t wake Alek up, and then I’ll quickly delete the message before he sees it.

I ran down the corridors of the boys’ wing, and just being here a few hours ago, I remembered the way.  I looked for Alek and Logan’s room and knocked lightly when I recognized the numbers.  I heard a groan and a bed creaking, and someone unlocked the door.  Logan stood in front of me, looking really tired.  He must’ve had a long day.

“Hey Aria.  Looking for Alek?”  He turned around and was about to call his name but I quickly put my hand over his mouth to quiet him.  He looked at me with a confused expression, and I just whispered, “Don’t wanna wake the princess now do we?”  I smiled and he chuckled under his breath.  He went back to his bed and laid down with his hands under his head.

I walked over to Alek’s bed and looked for his phone.  It most likely was next to his bed on the bedside table.  I looked, but it wasn’t there.  I looked around his bed but I couldn’t find it.  Alek slept soundly on his bed, he looked so peaceful.  I had a feeling it might be under his pillow, like where I put my phone when I go to sleep, and decided to look there.

I slowly slid my hand under Alek’s pillow.  Suddenly, Alek softly groaned and turned over so that he was facing me.  I froze and looked at his sleeping face.  He looked like an angel, his hair swept to the side and his eyes lightly closed.  His mouth was slightly open and I could hear his breaths now.  I slowly inched my hand further into his pillow, until I finally felt the cold metal of his phone.

In that exact moment, his eyes shot open.  His piercing blue eyes shot electricity through my hazel ones.  He smiled, then seemed to realize he wasn’t dreaming.  Then he looked me up and down, wondering what I was doing.  I huffed and side-smiled, then brought out his phone from under the pillow.  I clicked the power on and saw the picture.  It was of Alek holding a puppy.  It looked like an old picture, probably a picture of his dog that he had to leave behind.  He smiled when he saw how my face lit up at how cute the picture was.  I loved puppies.  I unlocked it and saw that he had a passcode.  I sighed, and looked at him.  He raised his eyebrows.  I showed him the screen.  He chuckled and and flicked his eyebrows.

“Why do you wanna see my phone?”  He whispered.  That was just the question I didn’t want him to ask.  I bit my lip.

“Well… Avery sent you a message from my phone… And I don’t want you to see it.”  I whispered back to him and put the screen near him to open in again, but he just shook his head.

“I need you to do something for me first.”  Alek looked me in the eyes and sat up a little, “Come lay down with me.”  He gave me his cheeky grin and opened his arms.  I sighed and bit back a smile.  I laid down in his arms.  He held out his phone in front of us and unlocked it.  But then he clicked camera.  Oh no.  Don’t tell me he’s going to take a picture.

“Say cheese.”  He whispered against my ear.  I reluctantly smiled as the flash went off, and he looked at the picture.  I had to say, we looked cute together.

“Your’e so pretty…”  He said.  I smiled and took his phone from him.  I clicked messages and went to the new one from my phone.  The one that Avery sent.

“Your’e not too bad yourself, Alek.”  I whispered as I deleted the message.  I wanted to tell him how I felt on my own, and not with Avery’s help.

He wrapped his arms around my waist and rested his head on my shoulder.  I smiled a little and sighed.  Wait…  This is wrong.  I can’t lay here in the arms of a boy I just met today.  But it’s so comfy in his bed, and I don’t wanna leave.  So I went into his settings and changed his old lock screen to the picture we just took.  I liked that picture so much, I sent it to myself.  Knowing, Avery most likely still had my phone, I decided to make her jealous.

With the picture, I sent a message, ‘Look Avery, how cute are we? ;) Betcha wish you and Logan were this close huh?’  I chuckled and snuggled closer into Alek.  Maybe it wont be so bad to sleep here tonight.  It’s past ten and that’s when the dorms are closed so that no one can break in.  I couldn’t get out anyway, so might as well stay here.

“Alek?”  I wondered if he was still awake.  He mumbled, “Yeah?”  I put my hand over his.  “Can I stay here for tonight?”  I asked him.  He hesitated, and I thought that he might not want me stay with him.  If I couldn’t I’d probably have to sleep in the hallway or something.

“Well…  That’d be kind of.. Awkward, since we’re not together…  But..”  He trailed off, like he was leading me off somewhere.  Then I realized what he meant; he’d only let me sleep in his bed if I was his girlfriend.  I thought about it for a while, and I figured it was going to happen later anyways, so why not let it happen early?  YOLO.

“I’ll be your girlfriend, Alek.  But you’ll have to take me on a date later.”  I said.  He chuckled and I could hear the smile in his voice as he said, “I was planning on that anyways.”  I smiled and texted Avery from Alek’s phone that I’d be staying at Alek’s room for the night, so they wouldn’t worry about me.  Then I slipped his phone under the pillow and let Alek pull me closer into him.  I feel like I’ve known him forever and we were the closest people could ever be, but I’d just met him this morning.

“Goodnight, love.”  Alek mumbled.  He intertwined his fingers in mine, and I smiled looking at them.  “Night, babe.”  I said back, and we both softly laughed before drifting off to sleep.
