Morgan and I spent our last night in New York together. We watched shops go by on the river, and danced to the beat of our hearts all night long. We were woken up by the sound of the girls voices. They went on and walked in my room, not knowing they'd catch us tangled in the sheets.
"Jesus!" Maddie exclaims, turning out back to us. Tae tossed me Morgan's shirt. I slipped it on.
"Guess yiu guys have made up?" Tae asks.
"Oh, yeah" Morgan replies, sitting up in bed. "We made up. Over and over and over again. Careful not to slip in the bathroom".
"You're sick" Maddie says. Morgan went to say something else, but I stopped him.
"Uh, did you guys need anything?" I ask.
"Just...ready to eat breakfast" Maddie says.
"Oh, I already ate this morning. She tasted great" Morgan says, trying to bite my neck gently. Tae threw a pillow at him.
"Shut up" I say, swatting at him. "Give us a minute and we'll be ready".
"Uh, actually. Lottie needs to meet me. You good to go with just the girls?" He asks. I nod.
"Yeah, but I'll see you at MSG?" I ask.
"Yes" He says before kissing me. The girls left so he could get up. I got up too. I went to pick out some clothes but he walked up behind me and grabbed my hips. "I wanna throw you down on this bed again".
"I wish" I say. He chuckles and pulls my hips into his. I take in a deep breath. "You better make it quick".
"I am quick when I'm with you" He says pushing me onto the bed, and beginning to thrust hard. I held onto him tightly and dug my nails into his back. Man, I loved this life.

After I finished getting dressed, I met the girls in the lobby.
"What took you so damn long?" Maddie asks.
"I...was busy" I say.
"Getting busy" Tae says. I didn't even correct her. We started walking to a little Cafe down the street. "So, you guys are good now? Like...talked and everything?".
"We are, and we did. I told him how I felt and he did the same. We had a good night yesterday at the Dan and Shay show. He even surprised me on stage. It was...magical. You know, life finally felt...whole again" I explain.
"Good. Because, truth be told...we were rooting for you" Maddie says.
"I'd hoped you were" I say.
"When I said Josh was the best thing that's ever happened to me, I was thinking Morgan is thst for you, but you guys needed to figure that out for yourselves" Tae explains.
"I think Morgan is the best thing that's ever happened to me. I love how he makes me feel, and how happy I am with him. It's...amazing" I say.
"Oh, we know how he makes you feel" Maddie jokes. I roll my eyes again. We all laugh, and walk into the Cafe. We got our seats and ordered.
"So, why couldn't Morgan come?" Tae asks.
"He and Lottie had something to do" I say. "I just told him ti meet me at MSG tonight".
"I'm glad he's on your with you so you don't have to go months without seeing him" Maddie adds.
"Me too. I don't ever want to be without him" I say. Just then our waitress came to our table.
"Hey, girls. My name is- Oh, my god" She says. I thought it was going to be a fan of the girls until I looked up. My heart sank.
"Maria?" I question.
"Spencer" She says.
"I-I...I have to go" I say. I stood up and walked out the door.
"Spencer! Spence, stop!" I hear Maddie call out. I leaned up against the brick wall with my hands on my knees. "What happened? Who is that?".
"I'm gonna be sick" I say.
"Spence, what's wrong?" She asks. I stood up.
"That's...oh, I can't even say it" I say. Just then, Tae reached us.
"Mother. That's her mother" She says. I looked up at her. "I'm sorry, I just...I asked when you guys left".
"Okay. Come on, let's go" Maddie says. "We don't have to stay. We can go back to the hotel, and we can forget this".
"No, wait!". I turn to see the woman who left me standing there. Both girls stood close beside me. "Spencer, you're...so grown up now".
"Well, that's what happens when you leave your four year old. They grow up. They grow up to hate you" I say.
"Spencer, I'm so sorry. I...should have stayed, but...it was easier to run away" She says.
"Well, don't you ever expect me to forgive you" I say. "We're busy, and we have to go".
"You don't want to talk? You want to run away too? Just like me?" She asks. I turn to say something else, but I was cut off by Maddie.
"You lost the right to talk to her when you chose the booze. She isn't running away, and she's not like you. You can stay away from her" She says.
"I know who you girls are too. I have tickets to the show" She says. My heart dropped again.
"Don't bother. You're good at not showing up" I say. She just stood there. "Come on, let's go". Once we were far enough away from the Cafe, I broke down. Both the girls hugged me.
"Spence, do you wanna skip the show tonight?" Maddie asks. I lean up to look at them both and wipe tears away.
"No. No, I can't do that" I say.
"Yes, you can. We'll be fine if you do. Lottie will help us and you know that" Tae adds.
"No, I need to go. For you guys, for Morgan. I'll...I'll be fine" I say. "I just...I want to see Morgan".
"Okay. Let's go get him?" Maddie says. She took my by the hand and we walked directly to MSG. I met Morgan at the tour buses.
"Baby!" He says, going to lift me into his arms, but then he heard me sniffle. "What's wrong?".
"It's...I-" I broke down again. He pulled me into him tightly. "I saw my Mother. When the girls and I went out. She was at the Cafe. She...she told me I was like her".
"Oh, baby. You're not. You're not like her at all. You are strong, and brave, and beautiful. You're not your mother. I promise you that" He says. I squeezed him tight. He practically carried me to his bus and shut the door behind us.
"She is coming ro the show tonight" I say. His face went white. I could tell that made him nervous, but he didn't let me think so.
"Well, that's fine. I'll put on a show for her, and I will sing every song to you and make sure she knows it. I'll make sure she knows how amazing you are and what she left behind, because she is the one who is missing out. You are amazing, Spencer. I feel so lucky to love you and I will remind you of thst every day for the rest of my life" He says. "I will never stop telling you how much I care about you and love you and how much of a better man you make me. You wanna know why?".
"Why?".
"Because, it's you and me, baby. Forever. Forget about your past. Forget about the girls, forget it all. As long as I have you and you have me, nothing is ever going to bring us down, and that is a promise. Nothing will ever get in the way of what we have. You and me, forever, okay?".
"Okay".
