"Mommy! Mommy!" I shouted as I ran towards her. The air was cool as I felt it kiss the sweat on my skin. The taste of salt caressed my lips. School had just ended for me and I had been waiting for her by the canteen from since the clock struck two thirty in the afternoon on the dot.
"Mommy, I learned something cool today!" I yelled in joyful spirits as I continued to dash towards her and hugged her dearly.
"Oh, what is it?" she asked with a giggly tone.
"Did you know that puw-fuw-fish are also called tetra...teh- um..." I paused as I tried to figure out how to pronounce the word in my head.
"Take your time," my mom stated calmly as she held my small pale hand and lead me towards the passenger's seat of the car.
"Teh-tra-dawn-night-e-day!" I finally got how to say it in my understanding and language. I was quite proud of the task I had completed.
"No, I didn't know that!" she responded. I giggled a bit then said, "It's the scientific name!" I looked at her as soon as I finished.
"Tetraodontidae right?" my mom asked. "Yup!" I answered and smiled up at her, "But you said it way better!" I stated in a fluttery tone. My mom joined into my laughter as well.
"Oh! Oh! Also, one puwfuwfish can kill up to fifty adults?" I looked at my mom whilst getting a little confused as to why she looked concerned for my teacher. My mom stayed silent for a moment and just gave a confused facial expression.
"Oh, really?" she said in a concerned tone. "Our teacher said it was just a little fact they knew," I continued and bent my head downwards to the direction of my feet whilst heading towards the assigned seat in the car for me.
"Ah, ok," she said opening the door for me to get in. Once I was seated I asked, "Are you ok?!"
"Oh yes! I'm fine," she answered as she buckled my seat belt in place and gave her a sincere light smile. "Is there anything else you would like to tell me?" she continued. "Mhm, I'll tell you when you sit," I answered. "Ok," she stated as she closed the door and headed to the driver's seat.
She sat down, buckled her seatbelt and then started the car as she got comfortable in the process of driving she replied, "Alright, I'm listening." She turned to me for a second.
"Ok, apparently scientists think that puwfuwfish contain all their poison because of the fish they eat," I said, playing with my explosives that I left in the car. When my got to prepare for the journey back, I went ahead to get me something to keep myself occupied.
"Oh, that's intereseting," hearing my words, my mom handed me a lighter. With the exchange the conversation cooled down and the rest of the car ride was silent.
I really wished that I could make the silence be cut short again.
