I wake up. It's monday, my worst favorite day of the week. I'm woken up by my alarm. It's the sound of a cat. I know, I'm weird and I'm a cat person. Anyway, it's 6 in the morning. I groan and get up. I get into the shower and wash and condition my hair. I lather up with soap, turn off the water, get out of the shower and dry off. I wrap the towel around me and grab another towel and wrap up my hair into one of those figurations that just sit on top of your head. You know what I mean? I hope you know what I mean. I grab my face wash and wash my face. There, that's done. I then walk out of my bathroom and to my closet. I pick out a simple outfit, a t-shirt and some jeans. I take of my towel and pull on my outfit. I then unwrap my hair and grab my hairbrush and brush out my hair. I go back into my bathroom and blow dry my hair and put on some chapstick. I don't feel like putting on makeup. I don't care if the popugirls comment on it. I grab some socks and sneakers and pull them on. I run downstairs and see my dad making some breakfast. "Hi, dad!" I greet.
"Hey, Tara," he says, "I made bacon and pancakes."
"Yum." I say. I grab a plate and pile my plate with bacon, pancakes and some strawberries my dad washed. I grab a fork and start to eat. My mom comes downstairs. "Hi Tara, hello, my husband." She says. She goes over to my dad and kisses him on the cheek. She grabs a pancake and starts to chew on it.
"I gotta run, a new leopard cub is going to be born today, the mom just went into labor!" She says, "Tara, you can come to the office after school and meet the cub."
"Okay mom, bye!" I say as she heads out the door. I finish breakfast and look at the clock. It's time to go to school. I say a goodbye to my dad and I grab my backpack and head out the door. I go to my bus stop, and Hannah isn't there yet. I need to tell her about Jason, she needs to hurry up. I see a person coming from the direction where Hannah lives. It must be her. I run up to greet them, and it isn't Hannah. It's Jackson. I groan and say, "What do you want now, Jackson."
"Oh, hi, Tara," he says, "I know about it."
"You know about what?" I ask. What does he know about?
"Don't act you don't know." He says, looking at me like I was joking.
"I'm not acting, what do you know about?" I ask again.
"Ok, well, I saw you and the new kid kiss in the Pizza Palace." He says looking straight at me, accusingly.
I stop cold. I just stand there, and stare at him, my mouth gaping. "You will not tell anybody." I say threateningly.
"Oh, I won't." He says, but he has a smirk on his face. "If, you will go on any date with me, and you will act happy, whenever I want to." Blackmail. Why does it have to be blackmail. I calmly agree through gritted teeth. I walk back to my bus stop. Now I have to deal with Jackson all the time, and if I don't, he'll tell my friends, and then they will frame me for some school crime because I was mingling with a 'nonpopular.' This is so bad!
