I Didn't Do It!

I wake up and I do my normal morning routine; take a shower, get dressed, eat breakfast, go to school. My bus pulls into school and I get out and head to math. Jason's already here. And so is Jackson. I say a quick hello to Jason and smile at him. I then look over at Jackson. He looks a little angry. His plan didn't work. Jason and I are too strong for his weak attempts and trying to make us break. Jackson walks over to me and says, "You can't still be together. Jason was upset, he saw us holding hands. He doesn't trust you anymore."

"Oh we're together," I say, "I talked to him last night and he listened to me and we trust each other again. Oh, and also, Jason was very upset. So expect pay back."

"Well then expect to be blurted about," Jackson replies.

I glance over at Jason, this morning we decided that we don't want to do this blackmail thing anymore. It's too much effort to keep us a secret, and the blackmail may end up hurting us. It'll be better to be out with are relationship. No more hiding. We'll find a way to get through whatever Kimberly throws at us. We don't want to be hurt again.

"Well I don't care anymore," I say, "I would rather be in trouble, but happy, than in a good place, but upset. I don't care if you use the blackmail. I'd rather be with Jason and have no issues."

Jackson looks offended and sits back at his desk. He glares at Jason and I. He's just jealous that we love each other. And that's his problem, not ours.

Math goes by smoothly and the problems don't start until the next class. I'm called down to the office. I get up and go down there. I can't believe they already framed me for a crime. Those popugirls are fast. I sit down in a chair by the office door. I'm quickly called in. I walk inside the principal's office and sit down in a chair. Next to me is Kimberly with a face full of tears. "Hey, what's wrong Kimberly?" I ask. Kimberly may not be nice to me in private, but I'm still her sorta friend.

"What do you mean?" She asks through her sobs, "You know exactly what happened!"

"What?" I ask, "I don't know what happened. What's wrong?" I give a quick hug, but she pushes away from me.

"Kimberly says that you have been harassing her and telling her that she's worthless for the past few months." the principal says.

"What!?" I start, "I would never do that. Kimberly is a friend of mine. I would never say that to a friend, or anybody."

"Well," the principal starts, "Kimberly has video evidence." He presses a button on a remote and on the small TV in his office a video starts playing. It's what looks like me and Kimberly outside of the school. There's no audio, so you can't hear it, but 'I' push Kimberly down and kick her. Kimberly then crawls into a ball and sits there for a minute. Then 'I' go over to her and punch her in the face. I then run off. Kimberly sits there and it looks like, starts to sob.

"That's not me!" I exclaim, "you don't even see my face. Do you know how many people in this school have long dirty blonde hair? A lot!"

"Well," the principal starts, "it checks out with Kimberley's story, so I'm going to assume it's you. Do you know the penalty for bullying and physical violence?"

"Yeah, you get expelled." I say, "I didn't do it though!"

"Miss Dane, I'm sorry but unless you get proof that you weren't here at school last night between 8 and 9:15, I'll have to expel you." He says.

"I can proove it right now!" I exclaim.

"Ok then, show me you evidence."

"Let me just grab my phone from my backpack." I grab my backpack and go to the front pocket where I keep my phone while I'm at school. It's not there. "Somebody stole my phone!" I exclaim.

"Maybe you just didn't bring it today," the principal suggests. Then the office secretary calls for him. He quickly excuses himself and I look over at Kimberly.

"You stole my phone, didn't you!" I exclaim.

She pulls my phone out of her pocket and says, "oh yes I did. And now you don't have proof you were at home last night. Oh well." She cackles and then goes back to sobbing and leaves the room. She has my phone, my proof. Unless, I can prove my innocence by making them listen to Jason say that we texted last night during that time and that Kimberly stole my phone. I have a feeling that this day will be an uphill battle.
