Alan’s POV

When I heard Erin at the top of the stairs I rushed from the kitchen to go help her take some of her bags down the stairs. I didn’t want her to do too much work, after all, she was carrying our child, which was enough of a load in itself.

“I’ve got it Alan, don’t worry!” She said shooing me away. But I didn’t let her bring them down. I quickly grabbed the biggest bag of the two that she had and ran down the stairs and placed it by the front door. “You won’t let me do anything for myself.” She said and rolled her eyes but I knew she didn’t mind.

“I just want to help you and do what’s best for you and Ella.” I said as she walked down the stairs carefully. When she reached me at the bottom of the stairs I stopped her and put my hand on her belly and put my forehead to hers.

“It makes me feel so useless sometimes…” She said and frowned. I put both my hands on her stomach and smiled when I felt a slight kick hit my hand.

“You shouldn’t feel useless. You are doing a hell of a lot more in your uterus than I am doing for you.” I smiled at her and she laughed, our faces still inches from each other. “Look, I just want to help you out and not make you do so much work. You feel sick all the time, some nights you’re up all night, and you hate the way you look. I want to help you feel better and help you do things so you won’t feel so exhausted. And I love the way you look. You’re fucking beautiful and I don’t think I’ve ever been more attracted to someone who was pregnant in my life.” I laughed and she pressed her lips on mine and I could feel her smile against my lips. I knew I had said the right thing, for once.

“I love you, you know that?” She asked pulling away from me and I smiled. She set her second bag down next to the first that I had placed next to the front door. “Is your stuff ready?” She asked and I nodded.

“It’s in the car.” I said. We were going to be picked up at Austin’s house today so we were going over there soon. She nodded signaling that she understood. I led her into the kitchen then, and showed her a fresh stack of pancakes. “Hope you’re hungry today.” I said. I knew because of the pregnancy she wasn’t always hungry in fact most of the time (for about the first 3 months to be exact) she just felt sick all the time. Morning sickness was the worst but hopefully that part has past.

“I haven’t eaten all morning of course I’m hungry.” She said grabbing the plate from me and doing a slight waddle over to the kitchen table. I laughed to myself as I walked over and sat next to her. This tour was going to be our last before the baby would arrive sometime in late October, Early November. This tour… Was going to be interesting.
