The next months is anything but overwhelming. As his figure is sat on the floor of Jungkook's dorm room he feel content

Jungkook had given him his spare key, and over the time he had always found himself in his dorm.

Now he was here, crouched on the floor and tending to paint a canvas only to give up. Instead he started to paint his nails, long draws of a bright yellow that should have been painted on the sunset

And he heard the door to the dorm open. But his eyes are stuck to his nails.

"What are you doing?"

Jungkook lowers out, a small tug on his lisp whenever he found Taehyung back in his dorm whenever returned after his classes. His tiredness instantly lashed into the blonde when he crouched down on the floor behind him

Taehyung slowly felt the dark haired's hands tug him backwards, until his back hit his chest and Taehyung couldn't help chuckle a bit when Jungkook started to tickle his neck with his small kisses, arms wrapped around Jungkook's sweater he was wearing.

"You will ruin the nails"

Taehyung protested between his small giggles. And when he finished them up he slowly reached down.

Clutching one of Jungkook's warm hands straddling his waist. And he leans himself back, against Jungkook's chest when he feels Jungkook's chin rest between the warmth of his neck.

Watching how Taehyung started painting his nails, one by one.

"Did you finish all your classes?"

Taehyung starts, his warm breath blowing on the other's nails. Until his skin started to trace the ink of the tattoos that painted the dark haired's fingers. Jungkook's words against his neck shivered against his body.

"I missed you"

Jungkook lowers out, almost mumbling against his buried state. Slowly letting his hands interlock with Taehyung's tracing fingers, before bringing them back to drape around the blonde's waist

Taehyung couldn't help the redness of his cheeks, and how he could feel his heart hammering in his chest. It's been months already and he still feels so hopeless in the precence of Jungkook.

"Should we make the promise again?"

He continues after the air fell silent and Taehyung's heart instantly baffles. And he doesn't realize how he tightened his hands around Jungkook's. Immediately turning around, his body now completely facing him.

And he nods, eagirly. A small smile on his lips that Jungkook slowly started to run his thumb along.

And he took a hold of Taehyung's hands, between his own in a firm grip. And he brought them up to his lips, Taehyung's cheeks flushing with every second as he left a lingered kiss on each one of them. Sending burning traces of of their heart beats.

But before Taehyung could do his turn. Jungkook stopped him. Stopped him with his gaze and his next words suffocates all air out of him.

"I promise that one day I will marry you Tae"

All air goes silent and the day becomes quiet, the gravity feels frail and he doesn't notice the tears that breamed his eyes. His hitched breath as he stared down at Jungkook's lingered gaze. Hands still gripped into his own.

And Taehyung let's out a croacked laugh between his brim of burning tears.

"Y-you're only nineteen, you can't decide that now"

He says, as if it was obvious. And he realizes his tears had fallen when Jungkook's hands slowly started to brush them away with his thumb.

So gently and his gaze hold all the truth they could hold.

"It doesn't matter. If it's not you, I
don't need anyone else"

It's in this moment when Taehyung starts lightly crying. And it's the tears of pure knowing that he is so happy. In this moment when Jungkook carefully kisses his tears of patterns that he thinks that perhaps, maybe that the time someday had became their favorite word had now became everyday.

And when Taehyung looked at him, he felt home in his dark eyes. His warm smile made him fall deeper. His warmth reminded that maybe home really isn't what he thought it could be

Maybe home was wherever he could find Jungkook

And it took all the pain, and hatred and struggling words and scars for him to come here. It took all the endless earning in him.

But in the end he didn't regret it. Not even a second. He forgave the world. Because he knew no matter what he would have waited five hundred more years for him. A thousand years.

And if at this moment that was all the time they still were allowed to have. He would treasure it because it was worth it

Every second is worth it with him

Maybe in another lifetime they'll live the way they should have lived, cherish the time we should have had before it ran out into the things they lost. But not now.

Now he didn't care. He didn't care about the time, didn't falter to care about the if's. Right now he only cared about this minute

And for a second, as they sat on the floor holding each other's hands, they were children again. Just for a second they were kids again

"I promise"

They promise. Once again

That when the years has passed, and they had held their hands for a thousand more hours. Their body's trapped in age, in all the moments they have shared they will always promise.

That for another 100 years, he wants to hold this hand, kiss his lips, stroke his skin and love him more than air itself.

That someday when they grow older they will realize, that mistakes were made, time was consumed and loss did appear. But something that didn't disappear was their love. Even when apart even when the world fell by their feet.

The love never did let go.

Because even with those cigarettes and tattoos he was still his Jungkook.
