"That's one hell of a story kid." The detective said with a small smile. "So not only do you openly admit to scaring and permanently scarring a man because he abused his wife and daughter but afterward you worked out for 4 hours finishing at about I think I had 3:42 am. Does that sound about right mister Kage?" The detective summed up and smiles even larger at the fact this kid basically gave the department all free raises by making the capture and conviction of this guy extremely easy. "Yep that is all correct." Akumu smiled back knowing he did nothing wrong but the guy was in for a world of hurt. "So can I leave now?" Akumu asked sure that he has nothing left to offer the investigation.
"Not yet, you still attacked someone and admitted to it so you will need to at least stand trial for aggravated assault." The detective said with a hint of sorrow at the fact he has to charge Akumu after how helpful that statement was. The surprise was evident on Akumu's face as this was most definitely not expected. "I'm sorry sir, what?" "You admitted to attacking that man and no matter the fact he abused his daughter you still attacked him but I can already see the court case failing as your argument is nearly airtight with the whole 'Would you actually be willing to allow this man to access one of his victims?' Sadly you still have to stand trial no matter how much I know you will win even with the worst lawyer ever." "Can I make a phone call?" Akumu barely asked before taking out his phone and calling his grandmother. "Hi sweetie, how was your workout.?"
"Hi, it was good but I ran into an issue."
"I'm on my way to the station as we speak."
"They called you?"
"Instinct."
"Whatever works, see you soon.
"Bye." At that they both hung up. "Well my guardian is on her way so we will see how this will go sir I appreciate you informing me of my status in the system. Please make sure my statement is properly used." Akumu stated rather coolly.
"Oh it will be, thank you for putting up with this bullshit."
"No need to apologize, just make sure if I'm needed I am contacted."
"I will." 'Is he really 15? He has the presence of a hardened businessman who knows he can't be touched.' Thought the detective as he left the interrogation room closing the door behind him. 'Well, this is not ideal.' thought Akumu, who honestly expected to be tried for a lot more he admitted to but he got the feeling that the detective liked him so he ignored the lesser pieces. Akumu pulled out his phone and began playing a game waiting for someone else to walk through the door.------------------------------
After approximately 20 minutes a new detective came into the room only to remove Akumu from the room and put him into the hall. "Your grandma is here kid." The detective sounded warm but their expression stayed the exact same as they said it. The detective then led Akumu back toward the front door where his grandmother was speaking with a seemingly female receptionist but it didn't seem possible to hear what they were saying even standing right next to them. As soon as the woman noticed Akumu the sound of the conversation seemed to return and Akumu's grandmother turned to him. "Well, it could be worse and we both know this won't change the world with some new precedent or anything." "I know Grandma but I am sorry that you and grandpa have to deal with this." Akumu looked down at his feet. His grandmother smiled at him and put her and on his shoulder and softly said "You did what was right and held back a lot. I'm proud of you." At those words even though his face was facing the ground it was a given that Akumu smiled and for the first time in a while the smile was one of pure happiness. "Now back to you." The grandmother spoke turning back to the receptionist. "What do I need to know about what is going to happen?" The lady smiled back and walked both Akumu and his grandmother through the information they needed to know.
"So you will be expected to come to court as his guardian on Thursday next week. He will need a lawyer and if you can't provide one the city will provide one. He will be in a holding cell until then and the court will decide bail and everything else."
