Akumu POV:

Grandma got into the car after putting the bags of food into the trunk. As soon as she had her seatbelt done grandpa starts the car and we're off. "Hey, how come Aku hasn't seen a quirk doctor yet?" Grandpa asked. "Because he got it last night and had school today," Grandma replied. Grandma decided to get me an appointment as soon as they could fit us in.  "They can fit us in tomorrow at 4,"  "Well then let's go get Aku settled at the house before it gets too late to go to the park," Grandpa replies.

Time skip

We started pulling into the biggest house I had ever seen. Grandpa chuckles at my staring at the house. "You live here?" I ask about to jump through the car door aluminum alloy and all. Grandma turns around in her seat and smiles saying "Yes, you are welcome to explore as soon as we get out of the car." I waited a couple more seconds that felt like hours. as soon as the car was stopped I ripped open the door and sprinted onto the lawn. "I will ring the bell for dinner when it's time," Grandma yelled after me. I kept on running until I came to the edge of a giant forest. I decided to leave the forest alone for the time being and just play on the grass for right now. I continued to run around the lawn curious about what my quirk entailed. do I create darkness? Can  I manipulate it or just see the darkness? How does my quirk relate to my parents'  quirks?  by the time I got to the end of that question,  I had wandered from grass to sand and looked up seeing what looked like body pillows that had been painted black with targets on them. The targets were arranged into weird lines and most of them had either holes, scratches, knives, or scorch marks on them. I started to walk towards them when I heard whistling.

??? POV:

As I whistle along I see the old targets on the edge of the property that the older couple owned. They told me and my brother that we were welcome to use the targeting range whenever we wanted as long as there was no danger. I decide to hurl a ball of thorns for old time sake at the middle target hoping to hit the front three. right after launching the thorn ball at the worn-down, old target, as soon as the ball leaves my hands and starts to spread, times seems to slow when a small kid walks right in front of the middle target. My body will not move and all I am able to do is simply watch waiting for the inevitable course of the kid getting caught, cut, and hurt pretty bad. The net of spikes seems to be mere inches from the child when I see a black thing appear from absolutely nowhere and grab it out of the air. normally my ball when fully spread turns into a net of thorns, this always wraps around the first thing it makes contact with, slicing through not only the target itself but also any weapons, armor, clothing, and flesh it comes into contact with, however, this thing completely broke the net. instead of wrapping around it, the creature just completely caught the ball and threw it to the ground.

Akumu POV:

I was walking around the target range when I saw a weird cut on one so I stopped walking and looked at it. I quickly heard a slight woosh only for it to stop a second later. I turned around and saw a teenager running towards me. I stopped looking at them when I saw a really cool black animal that looked like a puppy with black, bird wings. when it looked at me I could see into its eyes and they seemed to be made of a gem that constantly changed colors from green to blood red and deep blue. I wanted to keep looking at the creature but I heard "Hey kid, are you alright!?" I look up and the teen is on his knees and holding my shoulders. "I'm fine now let me go!" I say trying to see that animal from before only for it to be completely gone and a few thorns being my only proof that it was ever here. "was that your quirk?" he asked. I point to the tiny thorns remaining and say "was that yours?" His face becomes solemn as he says "yes that is my quirk, I'm so very sorry for almost hitting you." I can tell he is being sincere so I say "it's okay I didn't get hurt,"
