Akumu and the girl whom Akumu learned is named Rika have been prepping for their trials for hours every day and Akumu has been able to keep up with his workouts and training; not quite as much with studies but he felt good nonetheless less about his condition. "Alright Rika, your parents' lawyer has documents explaining in detail how your quirk works and the fact that it couldn't possibly work the way the court is saying it had to in order for you to be able to get money using it." "I think so yes." "Rika, your trial is in an hour please tell me you have a better answer than I think." "I saw him with that sort of thing last time I talked to him so I'm sure he has it or something close." "Great, what would you like to do while we wait for the guard to grab you?" The sentence barely passed the black-haired boy's lips before a guard approached the door and requested Rika for her trial. "Bye Aku," The girl waved as she stood up and walked to the door of the cell. "You got this Rika, it will be okay I promise." The words hung in the air as the girl left the room and the door closed behind her. '2 more days until I can leave this place. Lucky me, killing time is easy when I have yet to work out or train my quirk.' Thought Akumu as he began doing three-finger vertical pushups. Hours melted away as Akumu became a blur relentlessly working out to try and catch up to what he would normally be doing.

------------------------------------------

After what felt like mere minutes a bang of metal hitting concrete Akumu opened an eye to see there was a platter of food on the little outcrop off the door. The world flippled as Akumu spun himself to a normal orientation from sleeping upside down held up by one arm. "perfect timing, I'm starving." As Akumu sat on the floor eating the food from the platter when a guard came and opened the door. "Time for your trial kid." "Wait what?" "It's Thursday get up." Akumu proceeded to rise without his platter or shoes and followed the guard. The halls seemed to go on forever before they finally arrived at a huge set of oak doors that seemed about 25 feet high.  The guard opened the door and motioned Akumu inside. Inside was a pretty simple courthouse but he entered from the Judge's side and everyone was staring at him including his grandparents who he could see were trying and failing to suppress a laugh. The guard ushered the boy forward and to the bench where he was supposed to sit. "Hi, Mr.Lawyer." Akumu waved at the man wearing a suit and glasses on the other side of his grandmother. "Mr. Kage I asked you to call me Mr. Kiroko." "And I asked you to call me Akumu." At this point, the judge who sat atop a large station banged the gavel signaling the trial was to begin. "Mr. Kage you are accused of aggravated assault. How do you plead?" Akumu had to quite literally hold himself in his seat so as not to stand up and yell "Not guilty!" the lawyer did that for him and made a bunch of statements defending his innocence.  'Why would they make something so important so hard to pay attention to.' Akumu questioned internally and nearly fell asleep multiple times throughout the statements from both sides. It was only interesting when he saw a man in handcuffs and an orange jumpsuit walk into the room from the same door he did. The man looked extremely nervous and Akumu watched his every move like a predator watches its prey. The man noticed Akumu's gaze quickly and upon locking eyes the bundle of black bedhead gave the man a closed-mouth smile. To everyone else, it looked like a harmless greeting but the man was consumed with a fear that would likely last past death. Akumu continued to follow the man with his gaze as the man was brought into a witness box. The opposing lawyer then approached him and had him swear the oath of truth.

"Could you please state your name for the record?"

"T-tanako Ashi."

"Mr. Ashi, could you please state your quirk for the court?"

"I am quirkless."

"Is the individual who attacked you present in the courtroom today?" The lawyer asked seemingly neutral. The man now identified as Mr. Ashi opened his mouth to say yes but the words wouldn't come out. Instead, he just nodded. Akumu really enjoyed seeing the fact he really did spook this man who learned the one truth of life "There is always someone stronger." Akumu mumbled under his breath.
