Chapter 5 Hermia

...........30 days later.................

I rode through the forest to Dad's cave with Theseus, Hippolyta, Philostrate, Helena, Demetrius, and Lysander. When we got there, Dad was sleeping on an armchair in cat form. Wow. He was the one who told me that I had to go to him the day before my 20th birthday and now he's asleep? Anyway. I shouted "DAAAD!!!!!!" and the black cat made a sound that cats make when they are suprised, jumped up and was caught hanging upside down hanging on its claws on the cave ceiling, which was actually a chandelier when you remove the illusion. Everyone was laughing so hard 😝
"Sorry about that Dad."
"Meooow."
"Um, today is the day before my birthday so Pack Initiation?"
"Meow?"
"Yup."
"Mrow."
*Goes down from ceiling* *Shifts back to human *
"Don't you know how to wake someone up properly!!!???"
"Sorry."
"Okay. Pack initiation. By the way, everybody here will be initiated to the Athenian Pack: Silver Moon Pack"
Everybody: Why everybody?
Dad: Well, all of us are supernaturals, except for Philostrate.
Philly: Can I become one?
Dad: Yes, but I have to bite you. Let's just do it later.
Philly: Ok
Dad: Theseus and Hippolyta, you guys are demigods. No further explanation.
Helena, Lysander: How about us? We' re humans.
Dad: When you had the mating ritual; like marriage, your life force was instantly tied to your mates'. You guys are not yet 20 years old, so you have not shifted yet. Like all humans who are married to supernaturals, they instantly become ones themselves. But if a supernatural marries another not of their species; except humans and normal animals, they will keep their species, though their offspring will be hybrid.
Everybody: Ohhhhh.
Dad: Okay. Let's cut to the chase. Philostrate, you will become a were-... What is it that you want?
Philly: Eagle.
Dad: Okay, well, during the Blood Sharing for pack initiation,all humans will become weres.
Everybody: Okay.
Dad: Okay then... Let's start!
Dad: Wait, we have to elect an Alpha, Beta, Delta, and Gamma. The Omega should wait, for the election is a test of strength.
Dad: Okay, we'll do it later. We do the oath taking and Blood Sharing first.
*Awkward silence*
Dad: All of us will kneel, because we are all members of this pack.
*Everybody Kneels*
Dad: Do you promise to be loyal to our pack and protect all its members, until death?
Everyone: Yes we do.
Dad: Do you promise to love each other as family and not just intimate friends, but family?
Everyone: Yes we do.
Dad: Do you promise to die in battle against the Dark Forces of the Supernaturals, forever protecting the world from evil, by protecting the city entrusted to us, Athens?
Everyone: Yes we do.
Dad: Welcome to the Silver Moon Pack!
Dad: Now, time for the blood sharing.
Dad brought out a small bowl and a silver knife, and he wounded himself on the palm. He let the blood ( or in his case golden ichor) flow into the bowl. Demetrius did too, followed by Lysander, me, Theseus, Hippolyta, Helena, and Philostrate.

At my father's signal, we dipped our wounded hands into the bowl, one by one. We were instantly connected to the pack link, which lets us communicate, even if we were in diffrent dimensions. But the biggest reaction was Philly's. Philostrate was on the floor, shifting into an eagle. He was shifting back to human, and I was like "Phil, you're a were-eagle?" He was smiling and he said "Thanks boss" to my dad who was actually his boss back in Athens.

I felt a strange sensation and I was surprised that I was shifting into a Legendary Werewolf and so was Demetrius, Lysander, and Helena. I asked Dad why I shifted before my birthday and he said it was because of Blood sharing. Well Helena and Lysander shifted into wolves but me? My form was AWESOME! Like half human, but mostly wolf and with deadly claws, with golden fur. Demetrius was also a Legendary, with blood red fur and a black scythe mark on his back, complete with a battle axe he was holding in his hand/paw. We shifted back. Oh I forgot to say that Theseus was now a Half-Breed, meaning he couldn't shift fully, but he can shift his hands and feet to the paws of a tiger and still keep his demigod strength. He was pretty strong for a demigod, but with tiger strength on the side, he was super strong.
Dad interrupted my train of thought. "Okay. Let's have the test of strength." He snapped his fingers and we fell into an arena. When was the last time I knew my father's palace was so big? "All the women stay on the seats. All the men, come with me." Dad said. The rules are simple. Read them. He gave us all pieces of paper with the rules.

Pack Arena Rules:
1. IMPORTANT: Knock out opponent only. Do not use any kind of magic. Use only true shifted form.
2. Do not cheat (by using magic or powers or weapons or armor.)
3. Battles to take place:
1st - For Omega. Loser will be Omega.
2nd - For Gamma. Loser will be Gamma.
3rd - For Delta. Loser will be Delta.
4th - For Alpha. Loser will be Beta. Winner will be Alpha.
The people to fight were:
1st: Lysander and Philostrate
2nd: Theseus and Demetrius.
3rd: Winners of both battles
4th: Egeus and the winner of the Delta fight.

The fight began. Lysander and Philostrate were up, and they shifted into their animals. First, Phil flew up in the air and darted down towards Lysander. But Lysander evaded the attack, and his brown wolf ran to the other side of the stadium, knocking Philostrate out because he hit the floor. Aww. And Philostrate was a golden eagle. So, the Omega Family will be Philostrate's family.
Lysander went back to the bench in his wolf form, while Dad healed Philostrate. Then, it was the fight for Gamma, and Theseus and Demetrius were up. Theseus first made an attack, but Demetrius evaded it. This happened like a lot of times, until Theseus became tired. Demetrius started to attack, and knocked Theseus out instantly. Now I know why he's called the "Grim Reaper." Theseus had to be happy with Gamma.

Now here was the fight for Delta. Lysander and Demetrius were up, and they were not so happy to fight each other though once upon a time they would be happy to do it. Lysander had studued Demetrius's moves, and he discovered that Demetrius drains his opponent before attacking. But he also saw that Demetrius was impatient, so he tried his motives against him. Lysander and Demetrius were just rounding each other for a while then Demetrius attacked, fiding his attack to be evaded by Lysander, who landed a scratch from behind. But Demetrius was just too fast, and his Legendary form was too strong.

One punch from him, amd Lysander was out cold.
Dad was impressed with Lysander because he was a strategist, studying his opponent's motives and using it to his own advantage, and even landing some mixed attacks and unpredictable ones of his own. Demetrius had only won because he was Legendary and was an experienced werewolf. Now was the fight we've been all waiting for. For the ALPHA!

Demetrius and Egeus shifted to their Legendary forms. They circled each other, on all fours even though they can stand on two legs. They were like this until Demetrius, the impatient one, attacked. Dad evaded the attack, and Demetrius still had his back turned on Dad when he landed a kick on his back, and when he staggered to face Dad, Dad scratched him and Demetrius bit Dad. Dad punched Demetrius, and Demetrius was out cold. Dad roared showing to us his true form.

A Legendary Lion, bigger than any Legendary, with glowing white eyes, golden Eagle's wings, the Therian Crown and Scepter, with a glowing white jewel, a purple cape with a golden clasp, with a purple cloth with a golden embroidery on the sides around his waist which reached up to a little above the knee, held in place by a leather belt with an iron clasp. He had a super large sword strapped on his back, but the most intriguing was the scar that ran diagonally across his chest, it was red and it reached from his right shoulder to his left hipbone, Symbol of the Golden Death. He shifted back to his human form and handed to us a piece of paper containing the list of the families.

In the paper:
Alpha Family: Egeus
Beta Family: Demetrius and Helena (For now)
Delta Family: Lysander and Hermia (For now)
Gamma Family: Theseus and Hippolyta (For now)
Omega Family: Philostrate (For now)
The to-be children of the couples will be instantly be part of each of the famillies.

" Well that's that. I'll be converting my palace into a pack house." Dad said. He snapped his fingers, and the palace instantly became a pack house, with lots of rooms. We had dinner and went to bed. The pack was in order, and everything was at peace. We were going to have first day of training tomorrow. Everything was at peace... for now
