Theseus' POV
I was sitting on the throne and listening to the lords bicker about the trade route of Athens when a Athenian spy stumbled into the room.
"King Theseus!" He exclaimed.
"Draconius?" I said, eyes wide in shock.
"Sir! The Cretans plan to attack Athens... Tomorrow night!"
I was shocked. Drake wouldn't lie! I immediately shouted, "War!"
I shouted for the armies to get ready. Why would they want to attack? We were seriously unprepared. Oh. Unprepared. Surprise attack. We are going to need a miracle to win this war. That's it!!!! How about animal forms? I'll talk to Egeus about this.
Phil's POV
I was strolling down the street when I heard the clanking of metal. "Hey, what's happening?" I asked the nearest soldier. "War! Against Crete."
"When? "
"Tomorrow."
I backed off. Surprise attack? Oh no, this is bad. I accidentally bumped into a nearby girl. A spark flew between us and my brain was screaming "MATE!!!" We both felt the reaction. We looked at at each other and it was my childhood friend, Antiopa.
"Anne?" I said. "You're a Therian?"
She nodded. "I'm a were-eagle."
Anne was raised in the palace along with me. I didn't know she was a Therian. She never knew her parents.
"Anne, I'm also a Therian. There's a pack house not far from here, and I'll take you there.
"Okay!" She smiled. I had finally found my mate. We went to the pack house and I introduced her to the Alpha. We had a little talk, then Theseus went crashing in.
Theseus' POV
"Gee!" I shouted. Egeus spun around. He was talking with Phil and a girl. "I have an idea for the war." Why don't we shift into our animal forms and fight?"
"No," he said firmly, "We must keep our existence a secret, we should fight."
"But-"
"We should only shift when worse comes to worse."
"Ok," I said sadly and slunk back outside. Tomorrow is going to be very bad.
