CHAPTER 29: DEALING WITH HER BROKEN HEART

Ken's POV

I am busy signing and completing some blue prints when my phone rang.

Sandra Harrington is calling...

I answered the call. "Hello?" bati ko.

"Kuya! Makakarating ka ba ng Singapore today?" sagot niya.

"Today? Ngayon na? Sands, alas otso pa lang ng umaga. Bakit?" sagot ko.

"Vince and Emily broke up last night. Umalis na si Vince rito sa condo. While Ems never uttered a word since morning. She's just spending her day inside her room and we don't know what's happening inside it. Kuya, hindi ko na alam kanino kami hihingi ng tulong..." sagot niya.

Natahimik ako sa aking narinig. Vince also called me last night and his voice is so low and sounded so broken.

*Flashback*

Gabing-gabi na pero heto pa rin ako at inaasikaso ang trabaho ko. I'm so focused on reading the reports when my phone rang.

V calling...

Agad ko namang sinagot ito dahil baka may nangyari kay Ems.

"Hello?" I said.

"Ken... It's time... You can now take her back... Take care of her as much as I did. Huwag mo hahayaang magpakasubsob siya sa pagsusulat at pagtatrabaho. Always be ready hearing her rants and support her on everything she does. She's best when she's writing I hope you won't be a hindrance to it. Always have her back huh? Promise me you'll stand by her side when the public opinion comes to worst... Love her more than I did... Love her at her worst and love her readers... She's the best partner I've ever had... Take care of my sky, Ken... My part is done... Our chapter is done... I wish you all the best with her, Ken. I know you're better now that's why I'm entrusting her to you..." he said.

"Thank you for loving her, Vince... You don't know how thankful I am. Thank you for being her comfort while her home is away... Don't worry I will love her with all my heart and I will stand by her when the public opinion gets worst. I will never forget how you love her in times she can't love herself... I guess this is what destined for us to happen... I'm really sorry for being a burden to you... Thank you for fixing her and bringing her back to me..." I answered.

Alam kong minahal niya si Emily dahil nakita ko ang sakit sa kaniyang mga mata no'ng araw na hiningi ko sa kaniya ang pabor na ito.

"Just don't hurt her again... Hindi ko na kayang makitang parusahan niya ang sarili niya nang dahil lang sa sakit na nararamdaman niya... I'm watching you both and wishing you happiness... Also thank you for letting me love her even for a short period of time..." sagot niya at binaba ang tawag.

Dama ko ang sakit sa kaniyang boses at sa kaniyang mga sinabi. Masasabi kong mahal na mahal niya si Emily na kahit ang pagpapakawala rito ay kinaya niya upang hindi na siya mahirapan sa aming sitwasyon. Hanga ako kay Vince na sa kabila ng sakit ay pinipilit niyang kayanin ang lahat makita lang masaya ang babaeng mahal niya

*End of Flashback*

"Kuya? Nandiyan ka pa ba?" saad ni Sandra na nagpabalik sa akin sa reyalidad.

"Ha?" sagot ko.

"Sabi ko makakarating ka ba tonight? Kuya, med-student ako pero hindi ko alam paano siya tutulungan. I am worried that she did something inside her room! Baka mamaya... Baka mamaya..."

"Shhh!" I cut her off. "I'll call our pilot to prepare our plane just hang in there. Pauwi na ako!" Binaba ko ang tawag.

Mabilis kong inayos ang mga gamit ko at walang paalam na umalis ng opisina. Pagdating ko sa bahay ay mabilis kong inayos ang mga gamit ko at tinawagan ang private pilot namin para ipahanda ang private plane namin.
