CHAPTER 18: HE'S BACK

Ken's POV

As soon as the plane landed I opened my phone. Messages from Ate and Sandra popped.

ATE KASS

Her:
Ingat ka jan. Umuwi ka muna bago ka magliwaliw sa site ha!

Me:
Oo.

SANDRA HARRINGTON

Her:
Hi Kuya! Have a safe flight! Nandito ko sa airport dahil susunduin ko si Andy at Ivan.

Me:
Really? I might see you there.

Binalik ko na sa bulsa ang cellphone ko. Ang daming tao sa waiting area ng airport. May mga taong may hawak na placards na nakasulat ang pangalan ng mga sinusundo nila. While gazing at the people I noticed someone is staring at me. Kaya lumingon ako sa pinanggalingan ng tingin. Nakita ko si Vince na pinagmamasdan ako at sa gilid niya si Ems na kausap si Lean. Ems was about to look at what Vince is looking  when he turn around to face her and cover me. Sandra saw me but I just raised my hand for a wave and left. Mabilis ko lang nakita ang driver namin.

"Saan po tayo, Young Master?" he asked.

"Phoenix Subdivision," sagot ko.

Mabilis naman siyang nag-drive paalis sa airport. After one hour nakarating na kami sa subdivision. The house I'm dreaming to have is almost done. The construction started last year and I managed to finish this by early November. Pumasok na ako sa loob ng bahay para tingnan ang interior. Tiles and interior are almost finish. Pati ang likod bahay ay patapos na rin. Tapos na ang swimming pool pero wala pang tubig. Bumalik ulit ako sa loob para i-check ang library. It's not as big as the city library but it's enough to put all the books Emily will write and publish in the future. I want to show my future children how great their mom is. I want them to know that their mom is a great writer and she wrote all the books stored at this libray.

I smiled at the thought but then I suddenly remember that it's not as easy as pie. I need to deal with Vince, Andy, her family, and many more. My issue with my family is still not yet done. Umalis na ako ng bahay at nagpahatid sa Lizardo Group of Companies. May inayos akong ilang papeles na pinaayos ni Ate.

"Who told you to do things here in our company?" Emerald asked. One of the youngest board members we have. I think she's almost the same age as Emily and Sandra.

"Ate Kass. Why?" sagot ko.

"It's because it's not needed here! We don't need you here."

"We don't need you too. You can't even find a solution how to solve the problem." Iniwan ko na siya roon na nakatulala sa akin. Dumaan muna ako sa isang restaurant para kumain. I feel like eating samgyeopsal right now so I went to the nearby Korean Cuisine restaurant. I sat at the corner of the restaurant and ordered samgyeopsal.

While eating a group of familiar people entered the restaurant. Lumingon ako para tingnan sila. Malaki itong restaurant at malayo ako sa pinto para mapansin nila.

"Dahil si Ems nakaisip nito, si Ems magluluto!" Sandra screamed.

They laughed at what she said.

"Ako na nga magbabayad, ako pa magluluto! Talaga lang ah!" Emily countered. Napangiti ako nang marinig ang boses niya. Nagbalik na ako sa pagkain. Pagkatapos kong kumain ay kailangan kong magbayad sa counter. Para makapunta roon ay kailangan kong dumaan sa table nila. So I stood up my chair and walk to the counter without noticing their existence. Pagkatapos ko magbayad ay agad-agad akong umalis sa restaurant upang hindi na nila mapansin ang presence ko.

Emily's POV

There's something not right is going on. Kanina pa tahimik si Vince simula nang umalis kami sa airport. He's still not talking or speaking something.
