The King of Fighters XV has been announced to release on February 13th, 2022, and so far, some characters like Athena Asamiya, Mai Shiranui, Shermie, Angel, Whip, and Kukri have returned to the fray.
And, judging by Sylvie's general perception when the King of Fighters XIV came out, it seems she's going to be unemployed by the time Valentine's Day comes. This leaves me sad for her, but glad to have met Sylvie thanks to her first game and the Tag Team Frenzy game.
So, today's story will be about how Sylvie's unemployed life will be like. We may get inspired by the "SpongeBob, You're Fired!" episode, but it seems the King of Fighters won't go to ruin, unlike the Krusty Krab without SpongeBob.

Shermie: Always a pleasure to see some adorable faces back.

Angel: I think we're missing someone from the Official Invitation Team.
Kukri: No need to worry. I will be back in the fray to get my Sand Statues collection.
Athena Asamiya: We meant someone else, Kukri.
Kukri: If you mean that freakshow, then forget it. She was the black sheep from the Official Invitation Team, and no one even liked her when she debuted.
Sylvie Paula Paula: Hey, guys! So, who got their invitations?
Athena, Mai, Shermie, Whip, Angel, and Kukri: Us.
Sylvie Paula Paula: Cool! Maybe I should get mine as well!
Kukri: About that, you weren't required for the next game, freakshow.
Sylvie Paula Paula: Oh, Kukri, always a jester.
Kukri: Here, this is the list.
Sylvie Paula Paula: Let's see.
(She sees her name)
Sylvie Paula Paula: See? I'm on the list.
Kukri: Sylvie, that's the "Rejected" list.
Sylvie Paula Paula: Oh... So, I won't be called for this...?
Angel: We're afraid not...
Sylvie Paula Paula: Well... That's a bummer... I hope you all have fun without me...
(She goes away sadly)
Kukri: Goodbye, Sylvie! Don't forget to close the door on your way out! Ha, ha, ha, ha!
Whip: You don't have to act like a jerk, you know?
Kukri: Oh, come on! Even Angel would have said that to Sylvie.
Angel: True...
Athena Asamiya: I wonder what will be of her life now...
Kukri: I know a place where she could work. The Circus! Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!
